Film Review Of an overrated B’wood Movie I’ve Seen In Recent Times

Well, overrated would actually be quite an inappropriate word to use, so let’s just say it was a disappointing movie for it did fail at delivering what I and most of the viewers expected it to.

This movie that I had watched just 2 weeks ago ,”Laila Majnu” set in Kashmir directed by Imtiaz Ali went a bit over my head and hence became a reason of my dislike. The first half an hour is fine and in fact quite engaging. The male and female protagonist are into a kind of flirtationship, some cliché stalking from the guy’s side happens and then they soon fall for each other, ask the girl finally gives into to the boy’s advances. The romantic medley depicting this blossoming of love is just amazing! #Aahista Check out this clip here. https://www.instagram.com/p/BmQVM8thKNQ/?igshid=efdd6ydad9my

Their families are arch rivals. Laila gets married to somebody else owing to a misunderstanding. The story then takes a turn of events until both of the leads get united post Laila’s repentance as she came vis-à-vis the reality of (Qais) Majnu’s innocence and her husband’s real attitude soon after her marriage. So she was delighted to see Qais aka THE Majnu back in the town after 4 long years. After her husband’s demise in an accident, Laila had to wait for 3 more months to be able to marry Majnu as per an Islamic tradition.

Majnu was heartbroken still did not express anything because he was tired of waiting for his ladylove so he sought refuge in his distant, tranquil farmhouse. There he is portrayed as a mad lover through typical actions of running around, screaming out loud and it just didn’t seem to make sense to me. Seemed as if he got struck by sufism and that he came to realize that he didn’t any longer require Laila for the fulfillment of his love story. For he is so content and at absolute peace by just seeing Laila (an illusion actually) in a beautiful white fairy gown in front of his eyes, he is seen talking to her and that’s the reason why the people declared him mad.

Laila then came to see him and she realised this as well that Majnu no longer needs her physical self to celebrate his love, for his love has evolved much more in deeper sense and left her body soonafter. Majnu is also shown to be dead near Laila’s grave. The ever-so-mind-bewildering story then ends with the song Jab Se Tu Meri Hai Tab Se Main Tera hu Laila. What questions pops up on my mind is that when one attains such deeper, higher form of divine, selfless love then it definitely would not lead to the downfall of that person that he would go insane. From what I know, true love only supports growth of both individuals and can never result in negativity as it is the only positive this world has to offer. So this story line contradicted the universal truth and just didn’t go well with me otherwise the scenes, the acting, the dialogues,
music and everything was top notch except for the way in which it’s plot progressed.

The leads, Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri are coming together, yet again, for a Netflix Original “Bulbbul”. Checkout the trailer. Given that the chemistry of the leads was sizzling and they look cute together, I am sure you would not want to miss out on this one, especially if you love psychological, supernatural or thriller stuff.

Indians and their food

A person’s way to his heart is way through his stomach.

From the 1st century B. C. E Indians started off with the agricultural practices and they not only produced vegetables, but were also engaged in the production of herbs, spices and all kinds of cereals and pulses. At the same time, a lot of food, vegetables, cereals, meat, and other type of food was brought into the Indian subcontinent with each and every dynasty that ruled over this foodie country for hundreds of years. And India came to be known for it’s enormous variety of food – whether it is of the Indian origin or a mixture of Indi-foreign tastes – the country made it it’s own and presented it with a tinch of selfness. Centuries have passed away and the very essence of the Indianness of the Indian street and nobel cuisines.

It’s been years now, since we have been eating and experiencing a continuous change in a lot of local as well as foreign cuisines. The changing trend in this field has delighted both the restaurant chains as well as the connoisseur of food and new type of food. Not only, but Rajasthani, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, or South Indian food has gained love in every Indian plate but, cuisines such as Chinese, Italian, Thai and Mexican have made their way out and is loved all over the Indian subcontinent. Street food has taken over all of the towns and cities and people eat them with great pleasure;be it Indian or Chinese or any other type of meal, everyone tend to get more and more of dishes onto their plates.

The history –

Around 700 BCE, agriculture spread from the Fertile Crescent to the Indus Valley, a wheat and barely began to be grown. Sesame, and humped cattle were domesticated in the local farming communities. By 3000 BCE, turmeric, cardamom, black, pepper and mustard were harvested in India. The ancient Hindu text Mahabharata mentions rice and meat cooked together, and the word “pulao” is used to refer to the dish in ancient Sanskrit works, such as Yājñavalkya Smrti. These evidences are far enough to provide a great example of the historicity of India and the Indian food.

The mingling of cultures –

The coming of various dynasties and rulers over the Indian land has marked a great change in the way Indians looked at their food. The Mughals, the Persians, the Turks, Dutchess, Afghans and a large number of rules that ruled over this vast country brought with them new and delicious food that mingled with the flavours of Indianness. Travellers traveling to India during the 16th century or middle ages introduced new cooking methods and products to the region. These fusioned cuisines tend to adapt India cooking and seasoning techniques and made dishes well integrated.

Change in the eating habits –

Indian texts such as The Mahabharata, Bhagvad Gita and Buddhist texts focuses primarily on their eating of Saatvic, raajsic, or taamsic food, as consumption of beef was considered taboo, due to cows being considered sacred in Hinduism. It was only after the coming up of Afghans, Mughals and Turks that eating beef or meat became an integral part of every Indian kitchen.

Today, street food have gained a lot of popularity among the youngsters as well as enthusiasts of food. Every Indian and foreign meal has taken over the Indian streets and made people fall for them. Apart from the restaurants, every dish is made available at the small shops and street vendors’ stalls, that has made the food cheaper and everyone can taste the food available at every part of the world

Indians have always been known for their food and eating habits that makes them shine on the world level. It is it’s historicity and the use of spices that has helped the Indian cuisine to be one of the favorites in the world that according to a report on Food Tourism issued by the UN World Tourism Organization states that

Over a third spending is devoted to food which shows how important the Indian cuisine has become.

🌸Towards being vocal about Mental Health🌸

I am sure we are all shocked, deeply gutted and extremely upset by the news. It’s so difficult to register and almost feels like a personal loss.

A person who looks so content, oozing happiness and vitality in every media gathering attended, amongst each and every small interaction he had and yet somehow we couldn’t figure out what is going on inside the mind of that person. Does it signify our inability to interpret emotions?. I guess, partly it does, but the underlying truth is that people have become so good at pretending and concealing their true innermost thoughts. I think this is where the root of the suffering lies.
Why can’t we be honest? Why can’t we be transparent?.
If we are vulnerable, let us not shy away from the insecurities. Instead we should talk and communicate and just vent out our feelings. Afterall, we have always got so many people around. They may be our friends, colleagues, parents and even if you feel that you are the unluckiest soul on the planet that you don’t have any confidante.
‎Don’t get disheartened dear. Just go and immerse yourself in the divine and you’ll find peace there but you need to acknowledge the fact that you are not alone first. It’s about these initial, little steps towards attaining peace.

Life is so fickle. Practice gratitude daily🙏🏻 you never know what the next moment has in store for you.

Depression and anxiety comes from a set of fluctuating thoughts centered at negativity and that is also quite normal, happens with everyone but varies in terms of intensity and emotional support received. I think it’s really important to to SHARE so that it doesn’t even reach that stage (of suicide) and you never know you can save a lot many lives and maybe your even your own. Let usall be just be nice and kind to everybody around. Even if the person doesn’t seem to be in need, let us always try and radiate positivity and benignity, through our words, to every person that we encounter with cause we never know if that person really needed to hear those words. We might save a life by just being kind so that there’s no room for any regrets.

Sushant starred in the movie Chhichhore and he himself delivered many dialogues regarding how to combat the suicidal thoughts but somehow when you get trapped in the bubble of negativity, you just can’t find a way out. But what we fail to understand is that light is always present, we just need to make an effort to step out of that room of darkness and that cannot be done alone. You need some amount of strength, encouragement and support and that is what your family members are for.

‎It’s time that we learn to be as vocal as possible about mental health and if you feel you cannot afford professional help, then it’s completely okay. There are even numerous pages on Instagram who are there to hear what you want to say without even mentioning about your name. The trick is that when you just let it out of your heart it then just vanishes and you feel so light, so relieved. I am sure you must have experienced this. All I want to say is that life is so precious. It is a gift to us by the almighty and we simply don’t have any right to end what is not created by us. We are the manifestation of the Supreme itself. Feel it, let the power fill the void within. Let us all remember that there’s always a sunrise following the sunset.

My loveliest hugs to all the mental health survivors out there who are fighting a constant battle with themselves and emerging out stronger than ever. You guys are the real heroes and inspiration to so many, trust me. I hope Sushant’s soul rests in the peaceful bliss which we couldn’t give him or he himself couldn’t find in this world.

And THIS🙏🏻

NET BANKING A BOON?

Traditional banks offer many services to their customers, including accepting customer money deposits, providing various banking services to customers, and making loans to individuals and companies. Compared with the traditional channels offering banking services through physical services, Net banking use the internet to deliver traditional banking services to their customers, such as opening accounts, transferring funds, and electronic bill payment.

Net banking can be offered in two main ways, first, an existing bank with physical offices can also establish an online site and offer net banking services to its customers in addition to the regular channel, Net banking is provided without extra cost to customers. Customers are attracted by the convenience of Net banking through the internet and in turn, banks can operate more efficiently when customers perform transactions by themselves rather than going to the bank branch and dealing with a branch representative.

Net banking services are delivered to customers through the internet and web using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). One of the main and important concerns of Net banking is security, without great confidence in security customers are unwilling to use a public network such as the internet to view their financial information and conduct financial transactions. Some of the security threads include invasion of an individual’s privacy and theft of confidential information. Banks with E-banking service offer several methods to ensure a high level of security :

  1. Identification and authentication
  2. Encryption
  3. Firewalls

The range of e-banking services is likely to increase in the future. Some banks plan to introduce electronic money and electronic cheques. Electronic money can be stored in computers or smart cards and consumers can use electronic money to purchase goods of small value over the internet. Electronic cheques will look similar to paper cheques, but they can be sent from the buyer to sellers over the internet, electronically endorsed by the seller, and forwarded tot eh seller’s bank for electronic collection from the buyer’s bank. Further bank seeks to offer its customers more products and services like insurance, mortgage, financial planning, and brokerage. This will not only deliver more values to the customers but also help banks to grow business and revenues.

ADVANTAGES/BENEFITS OF NET BANKING

1. Advantages from the customers’ point of view:

  1. Net banking provides 24 hours, 365 days a year of services to the customers of the bank.
  2. Customers can make some of the permitted transactions from office, home, or while traveling via mobile phones.
  3. It inculcates a sense of financial discipline by recording every transaction.
  4. There is greater customer satisfaction by offering unlimited access to the bank.
  5. There is greater security to the customers as they can avoid traveling with cash.

2. Advantages from the bank’s point of view:

  1. Net banking provides a competitive advantage to the bank.
  2. Net banking provides an unlimited network to the bank and is not limited to the number of branches.
  3. Load on branches can be considerably reduced by establishing centralized data and by taking over some of the accounting functions.

Developing a personality

In this modern era, people are looking forward for a good personality that determines them. With personality I meant for positive thoughts, feelings, or behavior of an individual. Some develops the personalities according to the environment whereas some develops a personality according to their own needs. It can be developed by any person at any time.

According to psychology, a person develops a personality early which continues on developing for the rest of its lifespan. Behavioral personality develops early from the infant by an individual and so as the difference between behavior and disposition also develops early. Before learning of a language an individual develops self-representation personality early in their life. An individual personality is based on what they think, what are their values, what are their beliefs and what are their expectations. Developing communication skills as well as how they see the world also a factor of developing an personality.

The development of a personality by an individual is supported by various theories:

  1. Psychoanalytic Theory— this theory tells about the mental life of a person which consist of three ideas that is the id, the ego, and the superego.
  2. Trait Theory— this theory tells about the pattern of behavior, thoughts, emotions, etc. of an individual. It is a main theory in developing a personality.
  3. Social Cognitive Theory— this theory tells that how an individual develops in their environment and how they gather information and how they use that information in moving forward. It includes past experiences.
  4. Evolutionary Theory— this theory tells that how an individual develops a personality in natural selection. It is personality of an individual through evolution.
  5. Lifespan Theory— this theory tells that how an individual develops personality after the end of adolescence. Also how they develop it in their whole life. It increases accordingly to the age of the person. It never gets stabled.

In an individual lifespan the development for a personality is not stable. It goes with different variables like thoughts, feelings. environmental behavior or etc. based on the above traits. This can been by comparing your transitions between childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Due to environmental influences the personality changes between childhood to mid-adolescence. The stability in personality is a great case study conducted on an individual with an age of fifty years from adolescence to adulthood. Responding to their emotions is different in every individual. Thus, no one does not have same personality traits in them. It differs from emotions, the way of thinking, the way of making yourself to look good to the way of expressing emotions. It also differs that what an individual sees in their childhood to what they are experiencing in their growing days.

However, personality is nothing more than memories or an individual incidents that they are experiencing or experienced. this includes environmental behavior, family background, genetic factors, circumstances and financial condition of an individual. The way they respond to these factors determines their own individual personality. Basically its an individual’s developing of their appearance, intelligence, character, efficiency, style, attractiveness of their personality.

5 tips you must follow if you’re quarantining with a narcissistic personality

Hey everyone, This time around, I’m coming with some very raw & real tips. If you are spending your quarantine with a narcissist or an emotionally abusive person, I know how uneasy, frustrated, and drained you must feel. You may feel as though you are walking on eggshells- anticipating what you may or may not have to expect from this person. Because of this, I want to be here as a resource to give you tips on how you can keep your peace and weather this storm:

1. NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY TRY TO ENTICE YOU INTO AN ARGUMENT, YOU MUST STAY NEUTRAL & UNREACTIVE.
You might be saying, “But! they are so hurtful! All they do is pick me apart and tear me apart! I have to say something back”. I get you. I have been there. But, what if I told you narcissists get their energy and their sense of self from your attention- negative or positive. No matter if the attention is negative or positive it communicates the same message to them- it communicates to them that they are important. This is what they seek. A sense of importance. So my tip to you is to be like a grey rock- neutral, unreactive, & boring. One word answers like “okay” and “sure” “yes” and “no” will take you far. I promise if you do this enough times you will start to notice they bother you less than usual. Why? Because they can’t get much out of you. I know this will be tough but remember one thing, you don’t have to defend yourself against them- they won’t hear you anyway.

2. IMAGINE A MIRROR IS IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE WHEN THEY SPEAK NEGATIVELY TOWARDS YOU.
The narcissist is incredibly critical, you know this and you know how painful it can be. Remember this, as they criticize you, they are really just projecting how they feel about themselves to you. They hold themselves AND unfortunately, you, to an impossible standard. Understand that they cannot tell the difference between you and themselves. They believe everyone is an extension of themselves. This is why I say to imagine a mirror is in front of your face when they speak to you, because it will help you consciously remember that as they are criticizing you, they are really criticizing themselves. I promise, none of what they are saying about you is true.

3. DO SOMETHING THAT ONLY INVOLVES YOURSELF, DAILY.
This is critical. This is huge. This is for your sanity. This helps you ground within yourself and stay rooted within yourself. Take a walk for a couple of minutes per day, take an extra long shower or bath, and/or do some yoga/stretches. These all sound like simple suggestions, I know, but try it. You’ll see how much of a difference it makes in remembering how much you and your peace matters- and is within your reach.

4. AFFIRM YOURSELF EVERY MORNING.
Affirm that you know your experiences are valid. Affirm that you know you are not going crazy. Affirm that even if you are the only one who is aware of the discord going on within your home- your experiences are real and true. Affirm that eventually you will get out of this situation and that this situation will not get a hold of you. For more affirmations, make sure you check out my inner child healing affirmations and meditations here.

5. SOOTHE YOUR INNER CHILD.
When we feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and even anxious, sometimes it is our inner child feeling triggered by the memories she once experienced during childhood. So when the narcissist in your life triggers those feelings- and subconscious memories, take a moment to be with yourself- when you get the chance- to remind the younger you that the adult you is here now. There is nothing to fear. Remind her how loved and lovable she is and how she will be okay, she’ll make it through.

I hope you implement these tips during quarantine and that you remember that this is just a season, that you are dong the best that you can, and that things may not look as though you want them to now, but they will all get better in a matter of time.

P.S~ The major inspiration for writing this article has been the podcast on Google titled as “The Self Love Fix”. It’s amazing. You all must give it a try.

Why is the content of YouTubers like SANDEEP MAHESHWARI and CARRY MINATI so popular amongst younger audience despite being so contrasting?

Being a part of the younger audience myself, I feel that whenever I am listening to anyone speak or reading an influencer’s write-up , I want to feel that connect with them. It is often done subconsciously in order to soothe the inner child within me which wants to convince herself that even well-successful grownups who are standing and delivering that speech with utmost confidence have done things wrong at some stage in their lives when they were maybe younger, immature or simply unaware because it’s human and perfectly normal. The mind has this piece of information well fitted into it but the heart often tends to maunder whenever surrounded by any discomfort. I believe that the language needs to be more simple, narrative of one’s own personal experiences, openly expressive of vulnerabilities, full of connecting and compassionate tones rather than just imposing suggestions or advices on to the younger generation because they then don’t take it constructively, they take it as orders and that’s why the generation gap goes on widening. I believe the tone has to be such as to make them convinced that they are not in the midst of problems alone. Like content pieces for younger generation include diverse topics related to beauty, menstrual taboos, pimples and acne, dealing with the adolescence and peer pressure, career counseling, acting like cool guys or studs, pros and cons of excessive gaming, early dating etc among both boys and girls. Hence, tone should be assertive, firm and yet comforting to ease off the excess baggage which teenagers unknowingly carry on their shoulders. We need to make them understand, through our content, that we are here to try and suggest them a list of methods to solve their problems so that they are able to sense that natural connect and this way, they might even hear & implement it truly. And without any doubt, Sandeep Maheshwari has got all such qualities of being just the right advisor and mentor for teenagers.

So this was all about trying to creat impactful and emotionally moving yet stabilising pieces of content.
Let us now deeply discuss the language/tone used by the content creators other than motivational influencers who still manage to attract younger audience. Teenagers of today’s world often try and engage themselves in activities which can help them avoid their problems for a while cause they feel too weak and are simply unaware of their problem solving capabilities. But whatsover anyway, they watch a lot of laughter content on YouTube and other streaming platforms that gives them their much desired temporary escape from the depression, anxiety, vulnerabilities and non healed wounds caused within a broken/unhealthy relationship with friends or parents.

This need not be the case for every  teenager as a majority of them also watch such light-hearted contents for their mood freshening or to simply ease the study pressure. YouTubers like Carry Minati, Bhuvan Bam etc and meme pages on social media are so popular amongst younger audiences because of the kind of satirical tone/language which they quite effortlessly adapt while talking to their audience. The center point of the videos as far as my knowledge stretches is, the mockery, the trolling activity, the constant taking a jibe at someone/something.

So if you’re trying to create some content for a younger audience, make sure it falls in either of the two categories since maximum rates of success are guaranteed here. And the living proofs are these two legends!

New Zealand covid-19 free

During this pandemic situation, getting news that can give little relief in current scenario is worth that can make your day. And yes here it is good news that New Zealand declared itself Covid-19 free on 8th June 2020, Monday. It was declared by the New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. In their recent conference they declare themselves as Covid-19 free.

However, they have also said that New Zealand’s government will lift all the restrictions probably today but the strictness with the border control will not be ease. World Health Organization also praises the New Zealand government over cautious and strict measures over Covid-19. Although being the first country to hit by this pandemic disease, they still manage to overcome from it. Further, the New Zealand Prime Minister also requested people to be safe and keeping the surroundings clean. All the private and public events could resume, government further mentioned. This can only be achieved by the New Zealand government because they have implemented strict restrictions. Due to this 75 days restriction with a strict lockdown almost all the business shut and except essential workers rest have made to stay at home.

With death rate up to 22 and infected up to 1154 according to the Health Ministry, they control the situation more cautiously as well as more appropriately. Borders security will be strictly controlled. Ms. Ardern said that she did a “little dance” when she was told that there are no more active coronavirus cases in New Zealand, while surprising her two-year-old daughter, Neve. The last person who was being monitored now declared as symptom free after being in isolation. Yet, country will be at national alert level-1 from today midnight said by Ardern this Monday.

“Our Collective results I think speak for ourselves. This was what the sacrifice of our team of five million was for- to keep one another for safe and to keep one another well.” – Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand Prime Minister

With this great news our hope for a better lives have come to a great point. We should take our safety as the first priority. Wearing masks and using sanitizer during this pandemic situation is a necessary requirement of one’s for itself. Avoiding the guidelines will only make the situation worse. Let be safe and keep the environment around yourself safe.

guidelines to write an effective blog

Most of the people urge for writing a good blog but somehow fails to do so. This is because either they lack in proper way of writing or lack in valuable content. While writing a blog one should keep in mind that what is the main focus of yours writing a blog. Question yourself about this for getting a good answer. Then find a good heading for it. A good heading will make a blog more effective. Writing a blog is not an easy task until it is not researched properly.

However, firstly one should be cleared about the topic they want to write for. After that getting a good heading for that particular topic will make readers attracted towards your blog is a good way to start. Secondly a good starting will make a good ending. By this I meant that staring line should be a way more attractive or interesting so that readers could generate interest in your blog. Your focus should be clearer with your blog; it should be easily understandable by the readers. Also, your blog should be more realistic as well as more relatable. For making your blog look creative you can use images related to your topic. Not only can this, including links be also effective. Giving an introduction part in the starting paragraph will give the readers a bit about the blog. For writing introduction part one should keep in mind 5WH(what, where, why, whom, when and how) so that the topic should be cleared. Else second paragraph should be a brief summary of the topic. And for third paragraph details can be given accordingly to the topic. In third paragraph using pointers will make the blog more effective and can be easily understand by the readers. And at last conclusion or your views will make a good ending.

A step-by-step guide for writing a good blog as follows:

  1. Your topic should be realistic or relatable to the readers.
  2. Your topic based heading should be attractive so that more and more readers generate their interests.
  3. There should be limited words count as if minimum 500 words or maximum 800 words.
  4. You should know about your targeted audience.
  5. The content language should be easily understandable to the people.
  6. Including images or links will make an effective blog.
  7. Paragraph should be limited (at least 4 paragraphs).
  8. Good use of words will make your blog effective.
  9. It should be plagiarism free.
  10. Quotes if used of any author in your content then you should mention their names as well.

undefined

To conclude, an effective blog is that which keeps in mind the focus of their blogs from starting to end. Also by revising your blog after writing it, will help you by finding your grammatical mistakes. If a blog contains grammatical mistakes, then the value of the blog will decrease and will no longer efficient or attractive to the readers. Hence, writing a blog is easier while remembering the above guidelines or points.
