How to choose research problems without losing your common sense

It’s time to choose a good research problem for your study. You may have found a theme that interests you and you are already thinking of resolving the concrete problems that arise in it. If you still don’t know which field you like best, I suggest you carefully read the previous article in this series: Find the topic of your scientific research once and for all, which will allow you to quickly identify the most relevant topics and sub-themes for you when conducting a scientific investigation. In this article, you will learn to produce research problems and questions and filter them based on several factors to choose questions that will lay the foundation of good scientific work.

Choosing a research topic or problem

Choose the theme.

This is the first step. It is very important because the success and value of the work to be done depends to a great extent on it. In that case, how to proceed?

We suggest several paths to follow.

– Examine personal experiences. For example, if the monograph is about pastoral, we may be interested in knowing how to advise marriages with problems. If it were in the field of teaching practice, we would be interested to find out why the teaching practice is defined in such a way, which theories have worked with this topic.

– Find out what topics have been recently investigated about the assigned field. For this we can resort to specialized magazines on the mission or on teaching work.

– Think about the needs of the teaching practice. What are the current problems that affect it? On what topics is there a marked deficit in terms of knowledge?

– Discuss with teachers or specialists in the field to investigate: teaching practice, among others.

To choose the theme, we must take into account several factors: the personal and general interest in it, the usefulness of the work to be done and the sources of information that are at our disposal. It is not advisable that we embark on an investigation for which we do not have sources of information or for which we do not find sufficient bibliography.

Produce problems and research questions

First of all, I want to briefly remember what we did in the previous article in this series: Find the topic of your scientific research once and for all. I think what I haven’t read can have problems understanding what we do and why we do it. Today’s post is a very important entry for anyone who wants to start a research project but doesn’t know how to deal with the first obstacle. I don’t want to make articles without legs or heads, in short, we remember:

– You find out what process to produce the right questions for your research.

– You know the importance of not being afraid to make mistakes and you end up with a fear that attacks you when you take the first step in the world of scientific research.

– You learn that desire is the most important factor in doing good scientific work.

– You find your passions by analyzing hobbies and interests.

– You explore your vital desires expressed in the previous points of your research area framework.

– You begin to make a store of ideas to become more creative scientists.

– You find various subtopics of research that might be based on your tendencies and knowledge.

In the last point of the previous article, we have produced a subtopic where it might be interesting to learn from the perspective of your research area. In my case, I like neuroscience and technology (among others). Combining these two big fields we can find subtopics such as cognitive neuroscience computing, cognitive modeling, artificial intelligence … Now, they are a very broad field and you need to limit your interest and ability to solve problems in a very specific niche.

How can you find an appropriate need to be resolved or investigated? Unfortunately there is no concrete method; 90% of your results depend on your ability to observe and creativity. The best I can offer you to overcome this resistance are some tricks that will allow you to speed up the process. Choosing a research problem basically must be done carefully and with several considerations. This is the same as when we are faced with a situation where we have to choose between the longines master collection or rolex collection. Hopefully this article is usefu

Businessman standing on a roof and looking at future city
One day you will want to make a fresh start and change your life, to give up everything that made you feel unhappy: old acquaintances, outdated relationships and work that you hate and that doesn’t give you any prospects. You decide to take a bold step – moving to another city. It can be anywhere. It can be two hundred kilometers from your native town or even two thousand kilometers – in another country. It’s important to consider carefully all the pros and cons before taking any significant steps. If it’s impossible to work in your city, you can always move to another place with more prospects. So, you have decided that it is time to leave your native town and search for a more promising job in another city. Make certain that you need these changes Decide where exactly you want to go. Read some criteria and make the right choice: Think if you have any friends or relatives in the chosen city. They can guarantee you at least minimum support at a new place. It’s good to have someone you can ask for help in an unknown city. Will you be able to find any job corresponding to your qualification in this city? What prospects will open to you after moving to another city? If this city offers you the same prospects which you have in your native town, will it be reasonable to move? Especially if you have your own property in your locality. Moving to another city is a responsible step; it must be justified. Estimate the market of job offers Use jobsora.com to search job offers in the city you are interested in. Review the offers, salaries, conditions, requirements. Think about whether you are able to find an apartment in the right area, what portion of your salary you will have to pay for rent. Find as many options as possible to estimate all the possibilities at once. It’s good if you know which company you would like to work for. Then you can search for a job in all the cities where the offices of this company are located. Perhaps initially you will be able to work remotely, and if everything is all right, you will be able to make a decision to move. Send out your CV, wait for the interview Specify in your CV what city you would like to work in and that you are ready to move to another city. Tell why you decided to move to another city in your cover letter. Emphasize that it’s a mature decision of an ambitious person. Make a Skype interview if possible. It will be more convenient to communicate with employers on Skype in order not to go to another city for interviews. Try to get the support from your relatives and go ahead! Even when you’re ready to move, it can be difficult to leave everything and move to another city. But if you’ve made a decision — go ahead! Especially if you’ve found exactly what you were looking for. It’s great if your beloved ones support you. If you have a family, it won’t be easy for them too. But you will definitely manage to cope with difficulties together. If your family is against your moving, try to convince your beloved ones. Tell them about the prospects that are waiting for you in a new place, about the opportunities that will open to you. Make them believe in yourself. Here are eight motivating phrases which will help you to make decisions: If you do something you don’t like, you’re wasting your time. A goal without a plan is just a dream. Opportunities come along once. Create them yourself. Accept what you cannot change, change what you cannot accept. A perfect time will never come. Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Everything is possible. You only require more time to do impossible. If plan ” A ” doesn’t work, remember that there are still many letters in the alphabet. Look for the best and find “your place”! Jobsora.com knows that you can do everything! All you need to do is believe in yourself and start acting!

How to choose the right journals for publications?

After preparing a manuscript, you must choose a journal for the publication of your research. It is essential to choose a peer-reviewed journal that will present your research in the best way and pass it on to the appropriate target audience. And of course, the list of journals in which you have published can, directly and indirectly, affect your career advancement, professional reputation and funding opportunities. Mentioned below are the steps in which you should go about choosing a journal.2017_09_11_06_35_56_UGC_APPROVED_JOURNAL_DAYONMYPLATE

  1. Establishing a Link between the Topic of Your Article and Scope of the Journal

The most common but non-avoidable reason for rejecting a journal is the mismatch between the manuscript and the objectives and scope of the journal. First and foremost, determine whether the subject of your article matches that of the target journal. Take into consideration if your journal is theoretical or applied.

  1. Settle on Your Target Audience

If, for example, your article may have an impact on public policy, choose a wide-ranging journal that is intended for a broad, non-technical audience. If your article is highly specialized or technical, you will do better to publish in a newspaper with a small but very specific target audience. Reaching the right readership can sometimes be more important than reaching a wide readership.

  1. Consider Print Journals

Once your article is published, it should be easy to find by other esteemed scholars and researchers. The visibility of a journal plays a huge role in this regard. Publishing in print journals can seriously limit the number of people who meet or read your work.

  1. Career Prospects

Some authors attach particular importance to the prestige of journals. Here are some factors to consider. Members of the editorial board. Prominent journals generally to have researchers who are already considered esteemed members of their respective editorial boards. Visit the journal’s website to check the names on the editorial board.

  1. Publication Time Periods

A monthly newspaper is much more likely to revise your article quickly compared to a newspaper that only publishes once a year. Some journals list the date of submission and the date of acceptance. The comparison of these dates will give a rough idea of the turnaround time.

  1. Consider Costs Carefully

The journal’s website should inform you of the fees that may be charged to you, and you should consider whether your institution or your funder will be able to cover the costs if there is one. For example, fees may be charged for color images or for publishing your paper for free access.

  1. Choosing between Open access and Subscription Publications

The cost of publishing a document can be paid in different ways. Traditionally, libraries and other institutions pay a subscription to receive individual journals or collections of titles for their researchers. This is called the subscription model, and as an author, you generally do not have to pay a fee to publish an article in a subscription journal. However, you can charge page fees to certain newspapers or color numbers.

The open access publishing model allows published articles to be freely accessible to all. This means that authors, research institutes, international conference or funding agencies can finance publication costs. In return, the authors ensure that everyone can access their work.

  1. Choosing the Right Publication

Carefully selecting the journal in which to submit your manuscript greatly reduces the risk of rejection of your work. Once you have made a preliminary decision about the journal (whether it be Scopus indexed Conferences, IEEE, Springer, or otherwise) read the ‘Instructions to Authors’ to discover the limits imposed by the journal in the form of article format, number of words, citation styles, photographic specifications , publication costs, etc. a final decision.

Posting in a high-impact newspaper is probably of paramount importance to you.  Remember to keep ease, quality, reach and impact at the forefront of your mind when searching for a journal in which to publish.

It is really very easy – e-learning is more suitable since it adapts to the needs and learning decisions of each student. Online education allows learners to approach reading at their own pace, whether they are students, busy adults or workers. Students are free to design their schedule as they see appropriate. Besides, they can take their classes anywhere – at home or in a park, if they have a suitable mobile device with them.

  1. It adjusts quickly to the different needs of the students –

We all learn in various ways, and e-learning does everything possible to meet the educational needs of each student. Online learning professionals design e-learning courses that meet all learning needs and adapt to personal inclinations. Therefore, it does not matter if the target audience is visual or auditory students. There are a variety of methods and tools that can meet all the requirements.

  1. Immediate evaluation is possible.

Students can not only start their course quickly, but they can also see instant results. Whether they are working alone or with a trainer, e-learning offers many possibilities to provide useful feedback to students. Also, students can obtain additional resources online, which is always an asset.

  1. Unlimited degree of personalization –

It has only been about a decade that the industry has been in existence but it has shown sufficient momentum that allows for optimism regarding the future.

Benefits of Sports facilities to Higher Education

Playgrounds and outdoor games equipment have a long history, both in the community public space and in both primary and secondary educational bodies. The latter two of these have both embraced and accepted the idea that these are not just necessary parts of the school system, but in fact they offer essential benefits that give children outlets and essential educational benefits.

basketballers

However at the tertiary education level the subject is less readily relished. While increasing numbers of universities around the world are investing in effective and valuable outdoor sports equipment, the broader opinion remains that such things are an extravagant luxury. Something only to be invested into when a university finds itself in a comfortable and well established financial position. A non-essential that does not provide the kind of ancillary benefit or necessary advantages to be considered a facility of urgent need.

An increasing body of evidence however shows that this kind of thinking could be misguided, and that in fact universities and colleges need to look more seriously at sports equipment not just as a luxury to be enjoyed by the more athletically gifted students among their number, but as something that could be of extreme benefit to the university as a whole, staff and students alike.

Attracting the best students and staff

With university in general around the world becoming a more and more expensive endeavour for students, and many other career opportunities opening up to the well educated professionals who might have otherwise become research staff and teachers, games facilities become an important attraction factor for students and staff alike.

Depending on your country, and how your school is set up, charges between subjects and universities may not vary as much as is necessary to make competing on price a viable option, and the ability to offer access to specialist health and fitness facilities could be a vital swing factor when potential new academic staff are looking for, especially when you’re not able to be more flexible on salary or other more traditional benefit systems.

This attraction goes further than just the students and staff who are directly considering your establishment. With a wider array of sports facilities, your institution can host more events. This in turn gets its name into more situations, widely increasing your mind share in the broader population. A very valuable commodity when trying to get the best possible students and staff to come to your institution.

Structured non-classroom socialising

One of the most difficult things for many students making the tough transition between secondary and tertiary education is the lack of structured social time. Their daily routines will mostly lack the same kind of rigorous planned arrangements that they were more used to at secondary level. This can cause problems when it comes to things like making friends, forming social groups, and developing the kinds of connections that came much more naturally in earlier life.

Sports facilities solve this problem by providing an environment that is both structured and social. Somewhere that students can develop the kind of interactions and connections that can support them in their efforts to turn their university routines into a new kind of everyday life, and takes halls of residence and transforms them into homes and communities.

Lower stress and increase confidence

Despite the seeming platitude-ish nature of the claims that better sports and fitness facilities can improve the quality of students life, the data does consistently support this proposition’s truth. During a wider study by Purdue university conducted from 2010 to 2013, over one sixteen week period, when a group of 110 students who regularly took part in voluntary gym classes such as yoga and kickboxing were compared to 100 students who made no visits to the recreation facilities at all, the study found that the former group all reported lowered levels of stress and anxiety related to their academic matters, and higher overall levels of confidence.

This kind of benefit leads to a much more important output – improved grades. A 2014 study at Michigan State University found that their students who enrolled in memberships at the University’s Sports and Fitness Centres had average higher grades, and better consistent attendance over their first two years. They also found there was a substantially higher GPA, and 14% more gym-membership students became sophomores than non gym students.

This is just the briefest surface scratching into the matter, and from even this brief consideration, the results are clear. The kinds of benefits that sports facilities offer to universities are not ones to be ignored.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESEARCH PAPER AND JOURNAL ARTICLE

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESEARCH PAPER AND JOURNAL ARTICLE

Whether you are attending a college or university or pursuing a career in a trade like medicine, there’s a good chance you’ll be hearing plenty about a “research paper” and a “journal article.” Both forms of writing are popular methods used by educators and employers to gain perspective on a topic or subject from colleagues and students. To understand the difference between both methods of writing, one should understand what each form is and how people utilize them. This article will look at both writing styles and dissect the differences between the two.
Research Paper writing service

Research Paper

History professor, Dr. Jane Simonsen once said with regards to research papers that, “the work and design are your own, but you can’t do it without relying on the efforts and wisdom of others.”
Simonsen is correct with her notion. A research paper is a form of writing, usually used in the world of academia by students in colleges or universities assigned to investigate and research a topic, in which they find their conclusion. The student is encouraged and often required to support their findings with facts from reputable sources. A typical research paper can range anywhere from 5-15 pages in total length.
A student’s work will organize in the structure after compiling all the appropriate information from sources. Instructors often do this to teach the student balance in their writing skills, while encouraging structural discipline and accepted formatting. Furthermore, according to A Research Guide for Students, research papers take the original information of the topic, and after gathering the data from the investigative stage, the student sums it up with clear and concise analysis and disposition or thesis. Indeed, most research papers feature a thesis statement from the assigned topic. Also, Purdue.Edu states that a student may be required to write one of the two types of research papers.
Research writing and publication services

Argumentative Research Paper

The student will take a controversial subject, create an intro, inform the audience of the topic and explain their stance known as a thesis.

Analytical Research Paper

The student is required to critique a subject, which is usually in the form of a question mostly known as an essay or exploration.

Summary

A research paper uses all major citation formats (APA, MLA, Chicago), and is aligned with a clear focus, clear thesis, and dives into a topic or subject separating fact and opinion, or reliable and bias while reaching a conclusion or position. You may have heard research paper referred to a research project, research paper, or term paper.

Journal Article

According to Simon Fraser University, a journal article is an article that is written about a very specific topic. Furthermore, you’ll typically see a journal article authored by an expert in some field written by another expert in the same respective field. This kind of writing is also called “peer reviews.” A journal article is a short paper on a particular topic that gets mainly published in issues or periodicals. It will often include up to date research on that subject, including recent developments, reviews on a method or product, short papers previewing ideas.
With a journal article, you may find information, for example, on the latest medicine or techniques in a certain field. For example; “The latest methods used in 21st-century medicine to eradicate a headache.” Other examples of journal articles include peer reviews, case studies, scholarly articles, scientific and social science articles. Journal articles get published in a publication after extensive research in that corresponding field has been done. Publication Manual calls journal articles a way to categorize primary literature or review articles.

The Differences

Now, what are some of the key differences between these two methods of writing?
Research papers are written traditionally by a student at a university or college, and the work is typically assigned. A journal article is an article, about a subject that has recently researched or reviewed and written by an expert in that field. While both forms utilize the same techniques, a research paper gets done under the evaluation of a teacher or instructor. Another small difference is the extent of the references used. Most often in a journal article, a reader can expect to find an extensive bibliography, whereas a research paper won’t warrant as extensive of a reference list.
A research paper doesn’t get published in any publication unless it’s in reference on how to write one, where journal article gets submitted to periodicals or magazines.
A journal article reviews a possible or current idea and writes about the impacts. A research paper may offer a thesis, but it’s not quite as in-depth. Formatting and lengths, traditionally, are opposites as well. A journal article could be 15 pages, but often it isn’t. The structure in communicating the research will look different than that of a research paper, which may include double spacing and indenting. Finally, a research paper isn’t authored to present original research, but rather to show empirical data, where a journal article will explain to the reader of its original findings.

Conclusion

In addition to the differences between these methods, there exist some similarities i.e.: they both use clear and concise formatting or grammatical structuring as well as list references and conclusions. Examples of how the two are different:

Research Paper:

The research paper will have the student’s name, class, date, and instructor all in the left corner of the paper, while the title is centered.

Journal Article:

The journal article will have the title of the work at the top and center. The author/s names will be below, and the format will follow much as a magazine article would. The key difference is the use of each. One is for practice in writing, and the other is a certain practice for fellow practitioners. That said, one (research paper) is used more as a way to educate a student on how to write clearly and effectively about a topic, while the other (journal article) is written to educate the reader on a subject or idea.

Take a Wise 360 Decision for Your Organization

A single wise decision can take your organization to great heights. You can always make sure that your business grows and prospers. You can introduce some concepts and methods in your organization that are effective professional, dynamic and most importantly well-organized. There are many tools and instruments that can be employed to make sure that your business grows significantly.

Wise 360 Decision for Your Organization

Talking about one such tool called 360 performance appraisals, there are amazing benefits attached to it.  It can significantly impact leadership, teams, and even the entire organization immediately. When an organization takes a decision to launch a 360 degree feedback program for the foremost time, some leaders are unwilling to take part. Great leaders might have a bias towards action, and in case you want something that can form results starting by the time you end up reading this piece of write up; nothing could be more tried and true than employing 360 degree feedback in your organization. It would definitely get you a vision and insight and you would get to know a lot more about your organization and the employees working therein.

It is not necessary to tell that 360 degree feedback surveys will benefit leadership, teams, and the whole organization right away. It does so by providing a safe, intimate, and reliable way for colleagues to cater feedback.  With the help of this tool, a business can gain valuable insight into present day leadership, teams, and entire health of the organization. This feedback surveys caters the heads and leaders with robust knowledge and feedback into what is working and what is not really.  Once you use the data provided by this instrument correctly, you can swiftly take action, by helping staff members improve and become better contributors and leaders in the company. Of course, once you work on the weaknesses, they turn out to be strengths.

Ah, it is unfortunate that even today, when an organization takes a decision to launch a 360 degree feedback program, there is that bunch of individuals who is reluctant to participate. They say that they have heard it all:  and further keep their point like why do they need feedback? Can’t they just ask others instead of taking a complete survey” these people simply say they know what they are doing and they don’t want to know what others have to say.  It is equally true that such are not bad responses, but they are not wonderful either. The reality is that the future is feedback. Gone are the days where working as per   gut instinct and good feelings are satisfactory. And while employee insights aren’t perfect pointers of the truth of the matter, they are one of the most valued bits of feedback a staff member or leader can get.

But fetching honest feedback about performance is difficult. As employees move up in the organization, frank feedback about their performance or leadership style actually gets down. Many people are often afraid of displeasing individuals in leadership positions and might give less than candid feedback on the performance when asked face to face. The point is that when the name of the person giving the feedback is open and known; feedbacks get painted.  But when the names of the feedback givers are not known, everybody gives a fair feedback.

Remember a 360 degree feedback program offers others a chance to give heads, leader’s accurate and helpful feedback in a proper, constructive and confidential manner. In a 360 feedback program, the leader and a bunch of other raters give answer to specific questions about the performance of the employee. These raters are picked from those with whom an employee or head of the department or leader works day-to-day and characteristically encompass supervisors, direct reports, customers and peers. In this way, there remains proper procedure of feedback beyond partiality or fear. If you carry out the program of 360 degree feedback: properly, you can real excellent benefits like:

Self-awareness

Get to know about behaviors

When you carry out a feedback program, you get to know what type of behavior a person has and what is expected from him.  The feedbacks would allow the individuals to know if the tasks they are performing are actually the way they should have been performed. What their behavior is or how it can be changed.  Once there is feedback, one can know which type of behavior is required and how they are performing.  Now if a person asks you what behaviors went into forming a great leader, would you be in a position to write down even ten behaviors off the top of your head?  Well, when these behaviors are asked in a feedback system, a lot of behaviors come to picture.

 Dialogues

Dialogue is the foremost step in moving from measurement to enhancement. Self-awareness, explained behavior, and process feedback blend to provide a natural chance for dialogue. In an ideal manner such a dialogue starts with a warm discussion between the program administrator and the surveyed leader wherein strengths are highlighted and weaknesses are discovered.  The point is once there is a dialogue, there begins a procedure of improvement.

5 Tips and Tricks That Will Help You Prepare Better for the SAT

As a senior student, you will have to take and pass dozens of tests on your last year of high school or secondary school. But one of the most important exams you need to take and pass is the SAT.  This is because your SAT score will have a direct impact on all your plans after high school including your choice of college or university, course, and scholarship eligibility.sat1-e1344991565701-300x234

Attending regular SAT test prep classes and reviewing well for the exam are great ways to ensure you will get a high score. However, following other relatively unknown tips and tricks will also help you prepare better and boost your confidence that will allow you to perform better on your test.

Below are some of the most important additional tips and tricks you need to keep in mind when preparing for the SAT:

1.    Start reading more nonfiction materials

SAT has several sections designed to test your reading skills. You will have to read and understand long and dense paragraphs in an hour.

However, you don’t have to worry too much about the questions at the end of each text. Experts say they are relatively straightforward and easy to answer. But if there’s one thing you should worry about the reading part, it should be about your brain running out of energy when you get to this section.

To prepare well for this part of the SAT, read lots of nonfiction books and other forms of literature as part of your test preparation routine. This is because there is a high chance that majority of the passages you will read will be nonfiction.

A typical high school reading curriculum tends to lean mostly towards fiction. To prepare your brain for reading nonfiction passages, read newspapers, magazines, or the biography of a popular politician or important historical figures.

By reading a lot of nonfiction before exam day, your brain will be primed for reading fact-based text in the test and won’t get exhausted or bored easily.

 2.    Practice using the calculator you will bring to the actual exam

To maximize your efficiency on the actual SAT test day, make sure you bring a calculator you are familiar with. This means using only one calculator during your review classes, practice tests, and on the exam day.

When you follow this tip, you will know how to use the functions you will most likely to encounter on the SAT test. You won’t have to waste time pressing different functions to solve certain equations.

In addition, practice jotting down the steps or functions you used on your calculator on paper. This way, if you get an answer that is not among the options, you can follow the same steps, know quickly where you went wrong, and try to get the right answer on your second try.

Lastly, replace the batteries of your calculator a day before the exam and check if it is working properly and if it is ready for use.

3.    Be an expert in mental math

There is a math section on the SAT wherein you won’t be allowed to use a calculator. You will save a lot of time doing equations with your pencil by knowing the basic mental math skills.

These include knowing the multiplication tables from 1 x 1 to 9 x 9 by heart. You also have to know the most used tricks for dividing and adding large numbers and finding the percentage of numbers.

In case you won’t be taught these tricks in school or in your review classes, go online to learn them.

4.    Know and practice the most useful test-taking strategies

When reviewing for the SAT, make sure you know the best, most effective test-taking strategies which you should apply on the actual exam day.

These include:

  • Using the process of elimination to choose the best answer if you are stuck on a question
  • Not leaving any questions blank
  • Answering the easy questions first before proceeding to the harder ones on the math test
  • Skim-reading
  • Answering questions as you take the writing and language test

5.    Don’t overstudy

Lastly, although you really want to get a high score on your SAT, you shouldn’t spend more than three hours studying per day. This can lead to a brain overload. In addition, you will end up overworking your brain which will leave you feeling mentally exhausted.

As such, don’t forget to take frequent breaks whenever you study on your own. This will allow you to let the information sink in and give your brain the rest it needs. Aside from eating a snack during these breaks, consider playing your favorite sport for 15 to 30 minutes since this will help you focus and retain information better when you resume studying.

Although these tips and tricks are easy to follow, don’t make the mistake of ignoring them. They will go a long way in helping you ace your SAT exam.
