The large wooden cabinets are designed by keeping the thing in mind that the large kitchen equipment can be kept in the lower cabinets whether than keeping it on the upper cabinets to prevent it from falling of crockery. “Safe blood Saves LIVES”: world blood donor day 2020

Be a blood donor, be a Hero – A real one.

14 JUNE: WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY is celebrated every year on this day to raise awareness about safe blood donations and to thank those who donate blood voluntary and save the lives of others.

On June 14, Nobel prize winner and scientist Karl Landsteiner was born. He has got the credit for finding the ABO blood group system. World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on the birthday of Karl Landsteiner, who discovered various blood groups. Before Carl detected blood groups, blood transfusions used to happen without knowing the various blood groups. This discovery made Karl Landsteiner win the Nobel Prize in the year 1930.

The theme for this year’s World Blood Donor Day is “Safe blood saves lives”with the slogan “Give blood and make the world a healthier place”. Every year, a host country is chosen to celebrate the National Blood Donation Day. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the WHO will conduct a global virtual campaign this year. The idea is to focus on the contribution an individual giver can make to improve health for others in the community.

Blood donation is voluntary, a noble deed and a great service which we can do for our fellow human beings. One donation of blood can save up to 5 lives. Blood transfusion helps patients in recovery and surgery, those who have platelet requirement, who have Hemophilia and ones undergoing organ transplantation or chemotherapy.

Benefits of donating blood:

  • Helps in controlling weight.
  • It keeps your liver healthy.
  • Keeps cancer away.
  • Helps in smooth blood circulation.
  • Helps in burning calories.

Blood donation has been compounded severely by the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown. In early April, the Indian Red Cross Society had raised an alarm that voluntary donation had fallen by almost 100%.This isn’t surprising, given that the number of Covid cases is rising, making infected people and those who come into contact with them ineligible to donate.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has now issued guidelines for safe donation of blood during the ongoing pandemic. Go through the guidelines on this website to know safe blood donation during covid pandemic-https://www.mohfw.gov.in › …PDF

Interview – An Important Personality And Attitude Test To Get Qualified For A Job

In today’s time, if someone wants to join a company or a better job, they have to qualify the interview. Interview is a conversation between interviewer and interviewee. The interviewer asks the question and the interviewee responds. To get hired for a job, an interviewee’s experience and knowledge is important, but a good personality, skills, the way of talking, dressing sense and attitude of that person also matters. In today’s generation, a person can clear all the exams through Jack and cheating, so big companies interview before hiring, which is taken by the chief officers, but it is not only limited to companies, it is also taken in many government jobs as no one can hire with the help of cheating.
In 95% interviews, the first question asked is to tell about yourself. This question seems to be very easy, but it’s very difficult. In this question, the person in front of you notices your way of talking, confidence and communication skills. Many people answer in stutter and speak thoughtfully. To qualify this question they should tell their name first, then their parents name, from where they belong and at last they should tell about their education and from where they completed it. They should tell these all information feel free.
The second question may be that what you know about our company? Where you listen about this? In this question interviewer tries to know that how much you have prepared yourself and how much you researched about it. He tries to know that really you are prepared or you come without any preparation. To answer this question, firstly prepare yourself with the whole history of the company and tell them everything you know about it like the company is how many years old, which awards it has got.

The third question may be asked that how much you know about this work ? Why you choosed this work ? Why you want to make your carrier in this. Through this question, the interviewer wants to know that how much you are serious and interested in this job. Many people replies like we have to fulfill parent’s dream or there is more money in this job or they have to marry their sister. This type of replies puts a false impression on interviewer. Interviewer thinks that he/she is not self interested in this job and they came in the temptation and forcedness. The interviewer can reply like I am interested in this field from my school life, and I like this work, I want to make my career with this job and I will play an important role in growth of your company.

Fourth question that may arise is that why should the company hire you? By this question the interviewer tries to know that how much you are positive and tries to know your emotion. Many people replies in this way like I am very hard worker, I can work more in holidays etc. This answer looks very odd and seems that you cannot manage the time properly. The answer should be like I plan before working, I always try to make my work correct and better. I do all my work with my full effort. If answer is like above then the interviewer will impress.
Fifth question that may arise is to tell about your any weakness. By this question your weakness is predicted. If you reply that I become angry immediately or I feel starved, it will also put a false impression, so answer should be like I do all my work with planning so sometimes it takes some more time. It will put a better impression on interviewer.
So, be confident in an interview. If you are not confident, you will be rejected.

Chinese Diplomacy: Changing Nature

Beginning:

The Peoples’ Republic of China founded in 1949. Zhou Enlai was China’s head of government, serving from October 1949 until his death in January 1976. He was also the Foreign Minister. Here giving a very short introduction about Zhou is necessary because he was one of the best diplomats in China. His style of diplomacy came to define Chinese foreign policy over the next century. Mao was the leader of the country but the Zhou Enlai was one who managed the complete government behind the curtain. The official position of Zhou Enlai was premier which was officially head of government. But now there is no value of Premier of China. All control under the Chinese President Xi-Jinping. Over time everything goes cloudy.

Refined and “United front” Approach to Diplomacy

If Mao Zedong represented the crude face of Chinese communism, then Zhou was the epitome of its refinement. Where Mao preferred to exercise his power from “out of the barrel of a gun” but Zhou preferred to seduce his opponents through word and gesture in the pursuit of national self-interest, with the elegance of an opera star. The stick was used rarely, and only when all other means of persuasion failed.

Zhou’s strategy was consistent with the three principles. And these three principles are called the “United Front”.

Avoid isolation: Do not be isolated in the world because China was a communist country at that time which was not recognized as a country by other western countries. But India was the first that recognize China as a country.

Build solidarity with non-aligned countries: During the Cold War, maximum parts of the world divided into two parts. First, the country who took a standoff in favour of the USA and another one who took stand in favour of Russia. But fewer countries remain neutral. And it was China’s policy to build a strong relationship with them.

Divide the West: Ultimately, the goal was set by China to divide the USA, UK and other western countries. Therefore, it shows that China was unofficial stands in favour of Russia.

This United Front defined as isolate the main threat by building unity with all other forces.

Korean War: Examination of Chinese Diplomacy

Korean War started in 1950, one year after the foundation of PRC.

The USA invaded North Korea, Zhou summoned the Indian Ambassador in Beijing to deliver a message to the Americans “If the U.S troops cross the 38th Parallel, then Chine will intervene in this matter and took the side of North Korea because North Korea was also a communist country. If Zhou wanted, he could covey this message by his own, but uses the diplomatic step to take this action. And India was later persuaded to act as a neutral mediator between China and the US during many difficult phases of the negotiations settling the Korean War.

PRC at International Fora

In 1954, PRC participated in Geneva conference on the Korean War and Indo China War

Zhou’s strategy was to undermine western unity – Persuasion and compromise. The US anticipated that Chinese humiliation at the conference but Zhou handle the situation by deploying all his charm, vitality and intelligence. And finally, playing the weaker hand, Zhou turned the tables on the US.

Important Qualities of Chinese Diplomacy in the Past

Under Zhou, diplomats of calibre kept the ship of state steady in churning sea full of norms. When the tide rose, these diplomatic fishermen gathered the fish – expanding China’s global peace presence and gaining international acceptability. When it ebbed they saw to it that the ship remained firmly moored. They navigated the Cold War, playing the Soviets against the Americans. Additionally, 24 Character Strategy supplemented to Zhou’s strategy by other Chinese Diplomats. And it was “observe calmly; secure our position; cope with affairs calmly; hide our capacities and bide our time; be good at maintaining a low profile; and never claim leadership;

And the outcome of this diplomacy was praiseworthy. By the end of the twentieth century, another country was started recognizing China as a powerful developing country. China persuaded US President Richard Nixon to abandon Taiwan. All this was the result of a staggering act of the best diplomacy.

Change in Style

At the current time, China prospered and began to occupy centre stage in the world diplomacy, but the ship began to come apart from its moorings. A new generation of diplomats, with knowledge of the English language, arrogance increases and it has replaced humility. Persuasion is quickly abandoned in favour of the stick when countries take actions contrary to Chinese wishes. China pursuing unilateralism instead of compromise in the South China Sea. In place of ‘united front’ tactics, they are bent on creating problems simultaneously with multiple neighbouring countries. Statements of fact or reasoned opinions are seen by them as insult or humiliation.

Unshed Tears: The Pain of a Repressed Woman

When you’re sleeping peacefully at your home, some painful noises are being suppressed, or even lose their lives. Yes, the crime rates haven’t gone down even in this pandemic; instead, it has surged up a lot. Domestic violence, brutal behaviour towards women are prevalent these days. A girl roaming freely suddenly gets her wings cut and, in some cases, tied to someone who doesn’t even value her priorities and feelings. These women suffer a lot, made to work without any rest, misbehaviour among them is common, which we generally observe, but some people straightforwardly neglect them on the face when they ask for help. What’s wrong with society? Don’t they have a soul for those who want to enjoy and be part of the happiness shared in this world? Do the constitution rights make us so free that we can do anything we wish for ourselves? This behaviour is wrong, and the current generation mindset gets diverted to the wrong path.

A woman is crying and expressing her pain.
A woman is depicting her pain by clasping her face to hide tears.

Almost 35 percent of women have experienced some physical violence or mental tortures around the world. More than 58 percent of women get killed by their partners or family members. One hundred thirty-seven women die when their member of the family kills them. Nearly 49 percent of all human trafficking victims are adult women. According to an estimation, over 650 million women and girls in the world today get married before age 18 termed as child marriage, as mentioned in most country laws. These marriages often result in early pregnancy and social isolation; schooling gets abandoned; their opportunities get seized and increases more risk of experiencing domestic violence brutally every day. Globally, one out of three students get bullied by their fellow mates in the school.

A woman is screaming to express her pain.
A woman is screaming in grief.

The UN officially mentioned the above facts. There are many misconceptions across the globe. Sati, one of the historical practices followed in India, where women sacrifice their souls for their husbands’ death. Great enthusiasts like Raja Rammohan Roy, along with Lord William Bentinck, were able to stop the practice. But now, even if a voice gets raised, a thousand question is asked as a follow-up. One who’s already ashamed and shocked by the heinous crime made towards these women, how can they speak up for themselves? They need full support from society. What can we do to stop this? We can make people aware of the pain a woman suffers throughout their entire life. We can stand against the existing laws and create a revolution to curb such crimes, make stricter laws, and deploy faster court proceedings. They should get justice right on time. Just by rallying with candles across the streets won’t bring the change until the demons of the malpractices are caught and punished on time. These prisoners usually escape due to ease in the judiciary system and loopholes in the current policies. This issue requires a lot of attention before it is too late. Save the future and build a positive society around us. Otherwise, these will end up in a huge disaster.

Hardwork vs smart work.

When asked how would you respond that how you are living your life? Are you working hard or working smart? Well individuals has different answers to the very same question. But the probability would be either working hard or smart! Some has to work hard just to have their two time meals and some has enough for their coming generations. The matter of work. Yes, how you are working is what you are receiving! Let me tell you this generation is of working smartly. Everyone wants to work in simpler ways and earn as much as they can but all they do is just end up in complexity. Everyone thinks that they are giving their 100% but are receiving less comparatively. Labour’s work hard and are struggling for living that is the example for hard work, Whereas some people invests in share market and earn unexpectedly higher returns.

Now don’t get confused in smart work and short cut, both are way different. Investing in shares and stock market can be called smart work, on the other hand gambling or investing in lotteries are an example of short cut which always will not work!

Hard work is a matter of physically working at the span of 10 to 12 hours a day whereas smart work is of working mentally by spending 6 to 7 hours a day. People are working hard, they are doing the regular work in the basic manner without giving it a second thought that it can be changed, where as others after using their ideas, they innovate or renovate complicated things into simpler form making it more useful than before and that is what called smart work. As an example Phone was invented but that was landline had no facilities except mic and speaker(speaking and listening) they can’t be moved from one place to another easily and had long wires connected to it making it more difficult, now we have smart phones/ mobile phones which has as many facilities as we wish and has the access to mobility. This is what smart work is! So, the point is that you should not work hard you should work smart! Hard work pays off but smart work will pay you sooner!

Women Empowerment in India

Women Empowerment is an action of improving the status of women that is developing the economic, political, social strength among the women. By this action, women get the confidence to claim their own rights. From this process, women get self-worth and respect, and it also helps them to get the right to live as their own choices and decision. It also encourages them to participate in social and religious activities and help them to get equal social status in society.

Education, literacy, proper awareness, and practice were the tools used for the mission of Women Empowerment. Women were pulling back and do not let to use their own rights. Only by the above-mentioned tools, women can get their own rights and freedoms. The evil activities like Gender discrimination, Inequality, and crimes against women are the hurdles that women have to cross over.

In India woman gods like Laxmi, Durga were liked and workships by the people but, at the same time, they against women’s development in society. A shameful thing is that the well-educated people also involved in action against women. The government also takes steps to raise the Women Empowerment, but it is not enough the cooperation of the society is also needed and we have to stop describing women as the weaker sex and keep encouraging them to reach higher. Women are the Builders of the Nation. Many women’s personalities we’re as the pillars of the country. We have a responsibility to create a safe and comfortable society for women. It will happen when our hands were joined for the raise of Women Empowerment.

Science is a blessing as well as a curse by Debalina Mukherjee

Science is a blessing as well as a curse.

Science is a special knowledge that is vast and huge. We have always used it for the betterment of ourselves and for nation. It has made our life more comfortable and has fulfilled our basic requirements. Development in different parts of science has changed our life completely but still it has its own disadvantages.
Science is a blessing because it has helped us to meet basic requirements and has changed our living style to a great extend. Science has gifted us calculator, mobile television, phones and Internet.. In today’s competitive world we are far ahead because of the scientific discoveries. Difficult calculations are done within no time. News reaches us directly. Gone are the days when people used to wait for newspapers. When all are busy with their work washing machines, chimneys, vacuum cleaners, mixergrinders save us in our everday life. Moreover the e books that are available in different websites for free have reduced the burden of the students to a great extend. Earlier people used to wait for their favorite theater dramas to be staged as there was limited entertainment but all thanks to internet that now there is abundance of entertainment. Today we get to see our near ones who stay far away from us just by clicking a video call button. Satellites are now providing us accurate information just before the calamities and are able to save thousands of lives. The weather forecast is becoming better day by day.. Chemotherapy, radiation advanced ventilation facilities are saving millions of life every day. Again many chronic diseases like sugar and blood pressure that are life threatening are treated with medicines like insulin Losar 50 etc.. Development of science is helping many to have their bp and sugar under control.

It leaves no space for argument that science is a blessing but simultaneously it has some disadvantages as well. For example when we talk about mobiles we always highlight its positive side but research is saying something else. It was actually invented to save us but it is now destroying our mother nature. Now a days we hardly get to see pure fresh coconuts and sparrows are getting extinct day by day. Its heartbreaking but it is the mobiles who are responsible for this. Cyber crime is reaching its peak at an alarming rate. The radiation emitted from the mobiles even when they are switched off is affecting human brains and animals around. Getting brain tumour and Cancer are becoming common among the youth and one primary reason behind this is mobile and laptops. Atomic theory or to be specific atom bombwas discovered by Albert Einstein. His intention was to breakdown huge mountains so that roads and tunnels can be made and communication and transportation becomes easier. But now it is becoming a show of power..It has destroyed many places and many lives. Ironically the thing that was discovered to save the world has actually destroying the world in a way.

In conclusion I would like to say that the damages that has happened and that are happening are all the consequences of our desire to meet ouur personal requirements. “No man is perfect” goes an old saying.. Similarly nothis is perfect just like science. It comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. It is our responsibility to accept its good sides and reject the bad ones.. We all should use it for our betterment and for the progress of our nation.
