The process used by every data analyst

the present world is creating data every single second ,and by analysing these footprint of data , data analyst predict the fate of any business. Behind the success and failure of any startup data played a major role. Data speaks if you understand it then you can get success every where but if you don’t understand what data actually speaks your startup, business will be failed and to understand the language of data a simple 5 step process is adopted by every data analyst. If you go through these steps then you can predict the fate of your startup today

Lets begin that process in brief
1 ask
2 prepare
3 process
4 analyse
5 share
6 act

Ask: it is the phase when a person should ask effective questions why he is starting the startup and what would be its outcome

Prepare: if he have clear picture about his startup the he should start to think what type of data would influence his startup and how he would collect it.

Process: when he have collected the data from different source then he must do processing of data because raw data has most of trashes that would deviate us from the ideal outcome

Analyse: after collecting and processing data,data should be analysed what it is telling what type of pattern you are observing in data what relationship you are getting from that data.

Share: when you have analysed data then share it with your startup partners and create strategies to achieve the ideal outcome

Act : now the final step comes when after making strategies act on them,do not change strategies if in minor losses because you have planned all the things and always collect data to verify your startegies.

Now you are a data analyst if you will apply this you would never fail in your life

Mask up India: Best alternative to reduce mass transmission

With business shutting and GDP hitting record low in decades, schools and educational institutes, malls, markets, religious institutions all being closed and normal life almost at a halt. This is definitely the worst crisis India has ever faced. Collapsed medical infrastructure has made the situation even worse.

Observing the international trends such as the two waves in Brazil, one mini wave followed by two serious waves in the UK, three waves in the USA etc, the second wave was surely expected in India as well. Nation’s health advisor has also hinted at a third wave in future with so many virus carriers in the country.

Vaccines are the best defense against this disease but keeping in the mind population of the

Country and recent vaccine shortage it will take almost 3 years to inoculate the entire population of the country. Until then covid appropriate behaviour is the best alternative to reduce the mass transmission. It includes wearing masks, cleanliness and hygiene, frequent hand wash or using alcohol based sanitizer and maintaining social distance.

Why mask is the key

An independent small study in Beijing with families has shown that the efficiency of masks in the same household is 79% in preventing the transmission. Another study last year published in the “American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene” found that nations that mandated wearing masks have a lower mortality rate than the ones who did not. Many more such studies have been  published in the last year showing the world the way to reduce transmission.

Situation in India

Even after the grim situation caused by the pandemic people in India are still blithe in their approach towards the virus. It is often seen people not following covid protocols, especially wearing a mask. It is generally believed by the authorities that Indians can be persuaded to wear a mask only by a lawful measure with hefty fines or punishments for non compliance. But these protocols cannot work until the public adopts them on their own wil when they see it as being in their best interests.

How public can be persuaded to wear a mask

 A research team of Yale university doing the research in bangladesh has found that mask usage tripled when they were given away free and also some instruction by religious and community leaders. This leads to three times the usage of masks. Keeping volunteers in public

Places to remind the people to wear a mask and give away masks to them who did not have any, showed an increase in mask usage from 13% to 40%. Another key factor was the quality of the mask. Masks need to be comfortable without compromising their filtering capacities. India has manufactured sufficient masks and has capacity to manufacture the same in future so supplies should not be an issue. Communication through the community leaders and social workers with the association of government can be the right step ahead. Addition to these creative and imaginative campaigning is needed to sensitise the public about the necessity of the mask and the right way to use it. These solutions may sound elementary but if India has to

Stop the devastating effect of the third wave it is essential that these are considered and implemented effectively.

Understanding Proportions with the help of Ratio

Ratios and proportions are widely known concepts. We have to deal with them on daily basis. Which makes is very essential to learn them properly.

In math, both of these concepts are greatly related to fractions. It is because the ratio is fundamentally a fraction. And proportion is the comparison of two fractions.

It is no wonder if you are vaguely familiar with ratios. For example, you would have come across situations where the ratio of one group is higher than the other.

Similarly, you might have an idea about proportions already. For instance, you know that a motorcycle is faster than a bicycle in the same way a sports car is faster than a normal car.

In this blog post, we will discuss ratios and propositions with examples, so that by the end of this post you will have no confusion.

Definition – Ratios

A ratio compares the quantity of one kind to the quantity of another kind. For ratios to exist, the quantities should have the same units.

Ratios are represented as:

a : b

The symbols of both slash (/) and colon (:) are used to represent a ratio. The first value, here a, is known as antecedent. The second value, b in this case, is called the consequent.

How many types of Ratios are there?

There are two types of ratio.

Compound Ratio

For two or more ratios, if we take antecedent as product of antecedents of the ratios and consequent as product of consequents of the ratios, then the ratio thus formed is called mixed or compound ratio. As, compound ratio of m : n and p :  q is mp : nq.

Duplicate Ratio

Duplicate ratio is the ratio of two equal ratios. For example, the duplicate ratio of the ratio x : y is the ratio x2 : y2.

Definition – Proportions

A proportion compares two ratios. Through a proportion, we get to know that in two ratios a : b and c : d, a is related to b in the same way as c is related to d.

The proportion of two ratios is represented as:

a : b : :c :d

The double semicolon (::) or equal to (=) tells that the two ratios mentioned are in equal proportion. The values a and d are known as extremes and the values b and c are known as means.

In a proportion “a : b :: c : d”

  • The mean between b and c is
  • c is third proportional to a and b.
  • is fourth proportional to ab and c.

In a ratio, one quantity is compared in terms of “times” with the other quantity. This means if A and B are in a ratio of 3:1, then A is 3 times the quantity of B.

A proportion tells a person that two ratios in proportion increase or decrease in a similar way.

We can see this in an example. Previously we discussed that in a cake recipe, flour is two times the quantity of oil. This recipe is to make a one-pound cake.

To make a 2-pound cake, increase the quantity of both in the same way, we will multiply two on both sides.

= 2 x 2 : 2 x 1

= 4 : 2

This ratio is in proportion to our previous ratio 2:1. It can be written as

2 : 1 :: 4 : 2

How to solve ratios?

It will be easy to calculate ratios with the help of an example.

Example:

In a fruit basket, there are 15 fruits. Out of these 15 fruits, 6 are bananas and 3 are apples. Find the ratio of

  • Bananas to rest of the fruits
  • Apples to total fruits
  • Apples to bananas

Solution:

For Bananas:

To find in which ratio bananas are present in the fruit basket, we will have to subtract bananas from the total number of fruits. It is a “part to part” ratio.

Total number of bananas = 6

Total fruits in the basket   = 15

Fruits – bananas = 15 – 6 = 9

This means there are 9 more fruits in the basket. The ratio of bananas to the rest of the fruits is:

6 : 9

After dividing by 3:

2 : 3

For apples to the total fruits.

We will not need to subtract no. of apples from no. of fruits in this part. This is because we have to find the “part to the whole” ratio.

No. of apples = 3

No. of total fruits = 15

The ratio is:

3 : 15

After simplifying,

1 : 5

Apples to bananas

It is also a “part to part” ratio.

No. of apples = 3

No. of bananas = 6

The ratio is,

3 : 6

Simplifying:

1 : 2

A proportion can be formed by multiplying or dividing the ratio by the same number on both sides. After that writing the new ratio in proportion (with double semicolon i.e ::) the old ratio.

We usually determine whether a proportion exists or not. We can prove this in 3 ways. Let’s see how to do that with the help of an example.

Example:

Prove that the ratios 4:8 and 2:4 are in proportion.

Solution:

Write both ratios in proportion.

4 : 8 :: 2 : 4

Simplify both ratios by dividing with the common numbers. We get,

 2 : 4 :: 1 : 2

By simplifying more, we get,

1 : 2 :: 1 : 2

As we know, if both ratios are equal, proportion exists between both of them.

Write the ratios in the fraction form and cross multiply the fractions.

½ = ½

2 = 2

Both sides are the same. Hence, the proportion is true.

Solve the fractions for decimal numbers.

4/8 = ½ = 0.5

2/4 = ½ = 0.5

Both of the decimal values are the identical which means that the proportion exists between these two ratios.

Under this heading, we will solve the problems related to ratios and proportions. Proportion calculator could be very handy in case you are looking to solve the proportions.

  1. 1.    There are two buckets of water. In the first bucket we mix oil into the water in a ratio of 5:8. In the second bucket, we mix another fluid in a ratio of 3:5. Which ratio is bigger?

Solution:

Step 1: Solve fractions and convert them into decimal values.

5:8 = 5/8 = 0.625

4:5 = 4/5 = 0.6

Step 2: Compare both values.

 As 0.625 > 0.6, so the ratio 5:8 is greater than 4:5.

  • 2.    Find x in proportion, 2 : x : : 20 : 50.

Solution:

Step 1: Convert the ratio in fractions and solve them to find the variable x.

 2 × 50 = 20x

100 = 20x

x = 100/20

x = 5

Discover your calling

One good time, I was leafing through the pages of the book ” Who will cry when you die”.A master piece book authored by ‘Robin Sharma’. His books are helping people around the world live great lives.

The very first lesson of the book struck a chord in me when I first read it. It read ‘Discover your calling’. By this time I was caught up & couldn’t resist myself going through the description of the lesson and amaze myself. And the description went like this:-

“When I was growing up, my father said something to me, I will never forget, ” Son, when you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice.”

We live in an age when we have forgotten what life is all about. We can easily post a photo on Instagram and Facebook and read the comments and talk to unknown people, but we have trouble walking across the street to meet a new neighbor. At present almost every country have their own missiles which can target with pinpoint accuracy, but we have trouble keeping a family meeting in our home, hanging out with friends, visiting a library and reading books. We have lost touch with our humanity. We have lost touch with our purpose. We have lost sight of the things that matters the most. In this lesson he asks us to ponder over some questions:-

He says that one of the greatest lessons he has learned In his own life is that if we don’t act on life, life has a habit of acting on us. The days slip into weeks, weeks slup into months and the months slip into years. Pretty soon it’s all over and we are left with nothing more than a heart filled with over a life half lived. “What would we do if we could live our life over again? “

Before we answer to this question in deep sigh and say that “I’d like to be the person I could have been but never was. ” We need to find greater purpose of our life and invest our life in serving the humanity. We need make a lasting contribution through our work so that we can enjoy the journey of life before it is too late. We all have special talents that are just waiting to be engaged in a worthy pursuit. We are all here for some unique purpose, some noble objective that will allow us to manifest our highest human potential while we at the same time, add value to the lives around us. Finding our calling doesn’t mean we must leave the job we have now. It simply means we need to bring more of ourselves into our work and focus on the things we do best. It means we have to stop waiting for other people to make the changes we desire and as Mahatma Gandhi noted: “Be the change that you wish to see most in your world. “ And once you do, your life will change.

He has a plan!

Just one bad hour and you named the whole day as a worst day. May be you were not good at that particular hour, may be the efforts you were putting in that particular hour was not sufficient and most important hour. May be that thing wasn’t meant for you.

Everything in this works works on a plan. No! I’m nit talking about your plan. There is one planner of every creature on this Earth. We are his child and we have to keep faith on his plan. All we need to be is patient. Patience is actually the MANTRA for good life. Having failure is OK. But accepting that failure as a lifetime failure is not good. You have to keep patience. Things will fall on your space. Think of the time when you achieved success. Think of the time when things were going good.

Blaming the situation or blaming your own capacity is not good will not help you. All it will do is pull your morale down. It will create feeling of self doubt in you. Always keep in mind that nothing is temporary, the time which has shown you the failure will also pass on. You have to decide how you deal with that failure. Every failure comes with a lesson.

If you accept your job interview failure with a positive attitude and thought to be patient and work harder on the next round, CONGRATULAION!! You passed the exam of your life.

And always remember passing every exam of life is more important than any other exams of your life.

What is heat wave?

Science behind US and Canada’s heat wave.

• Canada is reeling under severe heat wave, which has caused an unprecedented 195 percent risk in sudden fatalities within the past few days.

• In Portland city in Oregon, US temperatures as high as 46 degree celsius were recently registered- just three degree short of the internal core temperatures of a cooked shrimps.

• On June 29, temperature in Portland advanced to 46.7 degree celsius.

• Canada too saw it’s highest temperature ever recorded in the country’s west. In Lytton in British Columbia, temperature soared to over 46 degree celsius last week.

Canada’s heat wave:Toll tops 800

Hundred of deaths were being investigated as heat related in the US states of Oregon and Washington and in Canadian province of British Columbia

• 800 sudden and unexpected deaths have been reported. The abnormal heat wave caused the temperature in the country to rise to 49.5 degree celsius, an all time record. The weather experts have blamed the heat dome effect for the sudden rise in temperature.

• The national oceanic and atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says that to understand what causes a heat dome, one should liken the Pacific Ocean to a large swimming pool in which the heater is turned on.

• Once the heater is on, the portions of the pool close to the heating jets will warm up faster & therefore the temperature in that area will be higher. In the same way, the western’s Pacific Ocean’s temperature have increased in the past few decades & are relatively more than the temperature in the eastern Pacific.

• The phenomenon causing the scorching heat is called “heat dome”. Hot air is trapped by high pressure fronts and as it is pushed back to the ground, it heats up even more.

This condition also prevents clouds from forming, allowing for more radiation from the sun to hit the ground.

•This strong change in the ocean temperature from the West to the East is what a team of scientists believe is the reason for the heat dome, which is when the atmosphere traps heat at the surface, which increses the formation of heat wave.

• To compare the reason that the planet Venus is the hottest in the solar system is because its thick cloud cover traps the heat at the surface leading to temperature as high as 471 degree celsius.

Nourish Your own soul.

Every time we talk about love a person flashes in our mind. Be it be our family members, our friends, or our partner or our pet. But why every time we forget our own soul. Why we never think of ourselves.

We put so much of efforts in proving our love for others. Many times we go beyond the boundaries to show our love. We care for those to whom we love. Many time we enter in a situation where we are put into a dilemma to choose between our two most close relationships and to proof our love for one relationship we have to sacrifice the other relationship with heavy heartedly. Numbers are not enough to count how we do for our loved ones. But have we ever thought that to prove our love for others we sometimes forget our happiness, we do things which we never wanted to do.

Is this a justice we are doing with ourselves or with our soul? On Doomsday what will be our answer when will be asked what we have done to nourish our soul? What we done for ourselves to be happy. Many people get confuse between self-love and being loved. Getting attached to a person to whom you love is not self-love . That’s a temporary and uncertain thing for you. Once that person leaves you, you shatter, you just loose your own identity. But self-love doesn’t allow you to shatter. It nourishes your soul, it makes it happy always. Its like a support system to your emotional breakdown.

Many times we suppress our feelings for others happiness with a feeling that he’ll be hurt. But what about our feelings? Making others happy has just swallowed our own happiness. We need to understand that at the end it is our happiness that matters. Everyone leaves at one point of time, But our soul lives within us till death. Doing justice with our soul is the supreme judgement.

Skill India : The need for demographic dividend advantage.

“The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways.”

— Robert Greene

Success of any venture in the modern world is dependent on capital and infrastructure, rules and regulations, and most significantly on technological know-how or Skills. India has been a developing nation for a long time now because it has always faced issues in imparting skills to its labour force.

India is the second most populous country in the world after China but why does it still lag behind some of the major nations in terms of economy? The work force in India is humongous and it even has the advantage of Demographic dividend to their main competitor China. India’s median age  is 28 in 2020 against the 37 in China and the US, 45 in Europe and 49 in Japan. India has 62.5% of its population between the ages 19 to 55. Still according to the UNDP Human development report – 2020 only 21.1 % of the workforce is skilled in the period of 2010-2019.

So where is the impediment to growth of the nation’s economy? We can safely say that the approach to impart professional skills has some hindrances that need to be mend. India has taken many steps in the skill sector in the last few years. But the result is still dismal due to lack of wholesome approach towards the skill india.

Obstacles

This year’s budget has allocated 3000 crore to the national apprenticeship training scheme but has restricted it to only engineering and not to other streams which needs to be addressed.

The authorities are overburdened with the responsibility to impart skills to the public beyond their capacities.

The policies have been discontinued and irregular thus making it far from possible to skill India at the required rate.

According to a 2019 study by NSDC almost 70 million people in the working age 15-59 years are estimated to enter the labour force by the end of 2022. The current policies are not sufficient to skill these sheer numbers.

Way Ahead

People in India have always focused on academic results and always been dependent on theoretical knowledge instead of practical skills. But a change in this approach has come in the form of the new education policy 2020 that has emphasised on skills and practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge. Matching the skills requirement in the industry that are dynamic in modern world with the training programs are also needed so that the skills acquired by the youth are not obsolete in near future. Spending on education and training needs to be hiked.

It has been estblished that the skilling the youth has given fruitful results for a nation. Japan was such first nation to recognize it and made the most of it. Today Japan is a colossal name in terms of economy in the world. India can also make the most of it. The dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat can be secured by taking the advantage of the demographic dividend which in turn can be truly utilised by skilling India.

WHY IS CODING SO Important!

Code to Transform!Tech has become a very essential part of our regular life. Your markets, shops, theatre, sports, gym, classrooms etc. are all available in the small screen of mobiles and laptops , But have you imagined how they fit in?

This is all because of Coding and Programming that revolutionized our lives.

CODE

Code is the fuel for our digital system, it is the radical for our future generation. Our world works on a base platform but to perform functions we require technology, it is an inevitable resource to develop tech we code and create projects.Different coding languages are present to help you program- Java , C++, Python, Javascript, C etc. So you should at least try one such language to develop a skill or interest towards coding, your branch, your stream, or your gender doesn’t matter the only thing that you require to code is pure LOGIC. If you are a practical and logical person who is ready to invest your time you are ready to become a good coder!A research shows that coding can help develop confidence, decision-making, creativity, math skills and logic building in students and kids. Also coders have a very highly paid jobs because of digitalization in India and throughout the globe, which gives high packages and job security so you can surely try your luck and pass into this. Huge MNCs and well known companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google etc. require coders on daily basis, people have dreams of joining these so you can always code to become a part of such amazing companies. In conclusion, I would like to mention that coding is going to have a lot of scope in future and not only this but its presence can surely help you develop qualities to your lifestyle that no one else can teach.

Youth is the worst hit prey of the panademic

in the devloping country like india the condition of the employment was not good the youth of the country was already struggling to his career and livlihood but this situation become worst when the world was hit by the panademic named covid 19 virus on december,31 in 2019. the world health organisation is continuously monitoring and respondinding to the pandemic.

as per the report published in the India times

India leads the world in teen age depression

in 4 youth one is depressed the percentage of depression is 25% .the depression destroying the creativity and efficiency of the youth how we can run our country with depressed engine it is a big problem but in the present senerio in our household we do not consider it as a big peroblem parents must take care the mental health of their young children the increasing sucidal cases is the outcome of the depression. the level of depression will increase exponenentially in the coming years because in this era of panademic students are not able to go colleges and eventually not learning the practical knoweledge this will decrease the productivity of the youth and would not be able to secure their dream jobs. we are not techniacally too advanced during online classe there is always problem of audio and video and the students gets incomplete knoweledge and with this incomplete knoweldege a sense of lack of confidence is developing and with lack of confidence a major section of youth is sunking in the depresssion youth is the main asset of our nation we must to take care of our youth

students to cope with this depression should do meditation and always try to get busy in new skills learning it is a difficult time it would definitely pass and the world become normal
