DOOMSURFING

First of all , we need to understand what is “doomsurfing”. Doomsurfing is  a a newly discovered lexicon, which has been quite trendy  in the news articles and social media accounts during this pandemic time. Doomsurfing is basically a tendency to continuously keep scrolling or surfing through bad news, without having much control over themselves to step back/stop. Despite of showing disheartening and depressing content, user’s keep on surfing. This term was first used by someone in twitter  where it gained popularity two years back, in October 2018.

Another term which have been gaining rounds is “Doomscrolling”. It is referred to as the overuse of screen time , in absorption of depressing news. This news was recently mentioned by Los Angeles Times in their article about how Covid-19 have given rise to new lexicons. Doom means evil, or dark. Eventually , it is referred to as someone’s fate, the kind where we’ll are headed to in our future. Surfing, on the other hand is referred to as the term used for browsing the internet. It has become so popular that Merriam Webster  have kept these two terms in their watchlist ,as they’re yet to clear the criteria. These were the most searched terms on the internet globally.

It’s human tendency to pay more attention to negative news, over positive news. You might not be the only ones who ‘ve become night–owls, there are many people like us who surf the internet for every minute detail possible about the news. We’re  making ourselves fall into deep, manmade rabbit holes, filled with coronavirus tention .This results in agitating ourselves to a extent that we loose our peace of mind, and the comfort of night-sleep. This pandemic have led a lot of people including me , to think that we’ve literally  got hold of the disease due to overthinking .We keep on scrolling because it’s human tendency to prioritize bad news .It has been successful  in creating illusion like situation.

It had been proved in the  2019 study that Doomscrolling effects may not necessarily be bad.For people who are phone addicts, social media could prove to be a great chance to overcome their weakness by communicating. While , on the other hand people who are poor at communicating by the medium of  social media platform may be in a state of stress, anxiety. The way we comprehend the information depends upon our mental state.

Over this short span of time, there has been constant stream of media  whether it is for Covid-19 ,protest over racial discrimination or talks about India’s relation with China and Nepal , the list has been never-ending. However, we can eventually get over these by bringing small changes in our lives. If we restrict ourselves and makes schedules for surfing like twice a day, our lifestyle can get back on track. After  having read the information online, we should find ways to exchange those news with our peer groups and family, in order  to get hold of their viewpoint on such issues. We should try and switch over to offline modes of entertainment like television, reading books, spending quality time with nature, etc.

Fashionable masks :on DEMAND

Have a look to different masks in the article….

Corona-virus : During lockdown , Indian textile and apparel manufacturers have been facing difficult times as they have lost almost all their orders for the summer and faced huge losses in sale. But, as the lockdown rules are relaxed, huge consumption of masks are in demand. The virus that created problem also offered a lifevest to textile industries.Orders of masks are flooded and production process are in load to meet the demand of masks for the population. With manufacturers ramping up production of face masks since the outbreak of covid-19, India has turned into a surplus nation choking production lines.

“India, according to the association, has a production capacity of 1.5 billion three-layer masks and after accounting for domestic demand, the surplus capacity is 532.03 million”.

Wearing masks in corona began to be mandatory for prevention from corona virus that saw a spike in recent times in many parts of the country.Wearing mask is no longer just a safety accessory, but people use it as a fashion accessory. Due to this, many apparel companies have started producing masks according to public interest. The textile industry is gearing up and making variety of masks as people are increasingly becoming safety conscious. Fashion is the right industry to make masks.

“Suddenly this (mask manufacturing) has come as a great opportunity for the industry, as a different product line, at this moment of crisis,” Ram Bhatnagar, Vice President and Head – Sales,Raymond Ltd. said adding, “nobody could have ever imagined about this segment from a fashion perspective.”

Textile industries are continuously on research to invent new forms of style in masks which would attract customers. This pandemic has brought out the innovative side of people.Mask made from different cloth, coloured or printed fabric are in demand.
Masks are in demand according to workplace, events etc. Have a look to some of these-

  • Matchy- Matchy masks :

Indians are buying multiple masks for themselves and their loved ones, as masks are reusable. Fashion conscious peope are buying multiple masks with different colours to match their outfits. People who are working during the pandemic are using masks according to their dress matching.

  • Children’s masks :

Textile industries are creative and designing attractive masks for kids. From cartoons to super-heroes, characters from sci-fi films, birds, animals and flowers to the range. Cheerful characters like dora, Chotta Bheem, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are in demand.

  • Face print masks :

This new surge in the demand for masks has led to people unleashing their creative best in the form of creating face printed masks. The mask is printed with the person’s face from nose to chin, which makes it easy to recognise despite wearing it. People are attracted towards their own face printed masks these days. The trend has become quite popular in other parts of the country too, with several other photo studios having started offering similar services.

Slow Death Of Tourism

Tourism is dead! Dead for the next two years atleast. It’s going to stay dead for years to come unless a vaccine or a treatment springs out of somewhere. With Covid-19 raging with its full might, people are choosing to stay cooped up within the safety of their own homes instead of venturing out and risking their safety. Although the economy is slowly opening up, no one wants to risk falling sick in an unknown place with a deadly virus preying on them.

The exotic fruits, smell and visual splendour will cease to attract when a person’s well being is at stake! Small tours and travel businesses are closing down while the big companies are left groping for the scarce tourists to garner. The monuments, the different wonders of the world will lie bare with very few to gasp at their magnificence. The exotic cuisines will be left undiscovered by many while the world grapples to survive.

The Indian government and governments around the world promote travel and tourism as it helps the economy a lot. Japan recently in a bid to attract tourism has offered treatment for coronavirus for free if someone happens to contract the virus in the country. The economy is reeling under the impact of the virus and no one knows how long the pandemic will last and with some predicting that the virus isn’t going away anytime soon and the fact that we would all have to live with it is scary.

Vloggers are taking the place of actual tourists, providing beautiful and virtual tours of different places through videos. Popular vloggers like Volpe, Best Ever Food Review Show, Karl Rock etc have gaining followers for the same reason even before the pandemic. The virtual tours through the videos are captivating and addictive, providing an alternative to actual tourism through videos. Virtual tourism is economical and allows you to see the globe from the comfort of your homes.

Though Virtual tourism is growing at a rapid pace, it can never replace actual tourism wherein one gets to bask in the new smells, enjoy visually and savour new foods. The added excitement that comes with going to a foreign place without knowing what to expect can never be replaced virtually or otherwise. One can avail and purchase goods indigenous to a particular place or country. So many industries will suffer from the paucity of tourism to greet them.

With many places already strapped of tourism due to reasons like pollution and crime rate, Covid-19 has been like a final nail in the coffin for many places.  People will not travel or barely travel anywhere unless compelled to do so. Many are doing so for business purposes and for official work but apart from that people are staying away from booking the flight tickets to different places. No one knows what the future holds and for the time being people are taking virtual tours through the vloggers around the globe to enjoy the visual splendour of places that our planet has to offer.

IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON WOMEN EMPLOYEES IN INDIA

Covid-19 has  brought a tsunami on the social ,economic, cultural systems , specially affecting the  women  belonging to the lower income group. In India where women are culturally marginalized, the pandemic is of greater concern. The Covid-19 scenario has vividly shown to the whole world the fact that the world’s economy and the maintenance of our routine lives is dependent on the unpaid and invisible labour of women employees.

The health workers are the ones who are a higher risk due to pandemic. In South-East Asian Region , around 70% of the front line workers are women , as compared to 67% of the total number in the world. It has been observed that the number of women being affected by the pandemic may take a steep rise in the near future. The stress of managing and treating the infection well as impacted the mental health of the frontline workers , specially women employees. Mobility  restriction have further increased the exposure time towards women, leading to increase in suicidal cases, domestic abuse .This points out the male psychological distress going on , adversely affecting  women’s  psychological well-being . Past incidents have indicated that health resources are accessible only to limited women employees  ,but because of the pandemic there has been no access to health and sexual services like HIV medication ,contraceptive pills and safe abortion . Women on a average spend 4.1 hours/day on unpaid care and domestic work, compared to 1.7 hours/day for men. Women’s unpaid contribution to healthcare equates to 2.35% of global GDP .

Analysis done show that women count for 70% for the total workers in health and social sectors, and around 50% of them are unpaid. The recent data have shown that women spend thrice as many hours as men in unpaid care and domestic work, limiting their access to decent work. The global gender pay gap is stuck at 16% with women paid up to 35% less than men in some countries. Women aged 25-34 years globally are 25% more likely than men to live in extreme poverty.

Global lockdown have resulted in the lockdown of women autonomy , practising them as second class and holding them back in our societies. Economic pressures on family are putting children, particularly women in a vulnerable state, and have restrained  them from essential services. The burden of care and responsibility of family members staying inside the house have made the situation all the more vulnerable for the women. The pandemic has put restrictions on the freedom of movement of people worldwide, affecting the freedom of expression of women.

Transforming inequities of unpaid workers to a new, inclusive economy would work for everyone and designing socio-cultural plans with intentional focus on lives of women. Even though a lot of women are working on the Pandemic, but they have little to no say in the  policies. There is an urgent need for sex-disaggregated data to see and understand how women employees are affected by the virus.

Social Media: The perfect tool for Digital Marketing

As indicated by one Facebook report, there has been a 70% expansion in time spent on the application in Italy. A March 2020 study of U.S. conducted on online networking users discovered that 43.1%  would scroll through Instagram more whenever staying home while 63.7% and 62.3% used YouTube and Facebook, in comparison to the other websites, more.

Presently is a prime chance to develop business accounts by putting out valuable content that doesn’t focus on a hard sell. The objective should rather be to assemble an internet following through:

1) For example, how to extract productivity out of “work from home” and methods of reducing expenses on veggies.

2) Posting harious content of mockery, similar to funny clippings and memes.

3) Collaborating with an influencer. 63% of shoppers trust influencers more than brands and COVID-19 has allowed influencers over a wide scope of ventures to make their administrations accessible at a sensible cost.

With relatively little expense and exertion, an organization can understand results that keep on profiting them long after the situation improves.

GENERATING MARKETING SCHEMES OVER THE WEB

Online campaigns help to spread the word about their businesses and the new ways of functioning, with less amount of time and effort invested, than asking their regular set of customers to do so.

This can be achieved through Smart bidding like Google Ads, Content Marketing and Coupons designed from Easy Promo Or Woobox

CARRYING OUT DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS ONLINE

There are not many organisations can transition their day-to-day functioning using internet. However due to the availability of video conferencing facilities like Zoom and Google Meet, there can still be interactions between the customers and the buyers.

Orders of groceries and other essentials can be taken online, education through schools and Institutions is being provided online and live tutorials and sessions are being conducted in which clients are asked to make the payments online. There are several other courses available on digital marketing too  which can be availed to enhance the speed of the working staff and enable them to make the most out of the present situation.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

Numerous organizations are curtailing their showcasing endeavors due to COVID-19, however what they should do is multiply while making the most of the new open doors that are springing up.

This accentuation on digital marketing isn’t something that they’ll need to back off on once the lockdown is over. Internet shopping won’t stop at any point in the near future, and most organizations will find that online associations are more helpful than in-person interactions.

While it might be viewed right now as an alternate course of action, when the pandemic is over, everybody will probably understand that it’s much more than that.

On the off chance that a very much upgraded site, all around arranged advertising devices, and selection of virtual interchanges can get an organization through one of the most exceedingly terrible crises in present day times, for what reason can’t digital-based promoting make its all intents and purposes relentless?

Hope you all had a good time reading!

BEEFING-UP THE COMPANY’S WEBSITE

Presently is a lucky opportunity to put resources into longer-term venture channels, especially if an advertising expenditure plan can be rearranged towards that path.

The global market is chaotic and questionable now, so outbound strategies can presumably be moved to working out inbound resources, similar to the organization blog.

For instance:

1) Making announcements on the home webpage passing information that the business is willing to support its customers. Incorporating a connecting link to a FAQ where clients can get more data about assistance hours and delivery options.

2) Reorganising product/services or administration pages with new illustrations and portrayals. Brief specials or discount offers could be made to maximise the orders.

3) Setting up an internet business framework for taking on the web orders. Major web hosts have incorporated Stripe integration in their progressed facilitating packages. Local companies and small businesses can likewise opt for Shopify or Etsy, which have e-commerce facilities. Many individuals also use Paypal. Managing account there can also speeden up the growth of orders.

Businesses that have generally sold items to customers from shops/stores only  may scrutinize the intelligence of building advanced resources like an online store, accepting that they can’t contend progressively with bigger, established portals like Amazon.

Notwithstanding, due to over-crowding in web based shopping and much-expanded social networking, individuals are currently holding up longer than even a month to receive their Amazon packages, and no one’s upbeat about it.

In the event if people discover that an independent business is selling what they require and that they’ll receive it quicker without prolonged delays, they’ll be up for it instantly.

TAKING FIRST STEPS WITH SEO MARKETING

The pandemic has transformed the way customers approach the idea of shopping. Roughly 47%  expressed that they are staying away from shopping centers and strip malls in an online poll.

Then again, SEO is experiencing a gradual upward trend, with certain brands announcing a noteworthy increment in their search visibiility from January-March 2020.

Suggested steps towards creating an impactful SEO procedure during Coronoavirus pandemic are as follows:

1) Content creation intended to fabricate trust.

COVID prevention measures have made purchasers increasingly pessimistic. As per a Forrester report, they don’t confide in organizations to finish on guarantees. Brand messages should be created with the goal to instruct, advise, and console rather than gruffly requesting a buy.

2) Adapting a “take-charge” attitude while dealing with the corporate web.

It is significant for organizations to deliberately deal with their online brands. Refreshing item accessibility, keeping the Google My Business page current and keeping client information secure would all be able to put forth the picture of a reliable business.
ATTRACTING AUDIENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

An ever increasing number of individuals are managing self-isolation by going on the web to get access to recent news, look for data, and engage themselves.Hence, business social media pages can be easily promoted.

To be continued….

( Part 2/3)

Is Digital Marketing The New Approach Companies Need To Adopt During The Times Of Covid 19?

Some issues tend to just disappear if they don’t receive our attention for a longer period of time. However, the coronavirus pandemic is a mammoth issue for the companies all over the world. It is becoming extremely troublesome to just let go of the problem for it is hugely influencing the way business is being carried out globally.

Furthermore, a lot of businessmen, managers and directors are finding it difficult to bring about a change in their marketing strategies so as to get used to this short-term “new normal”.

The possible reasons could be that they maybe still not convinced to adapt to this sense of normalcy with so much going around and them facing their own issues but whatever the reason, this is only going to lead to much bigger problems and could even result in the downfall of their respective companies.

Moreover, handshakes are being replaced by the new norms of digital marketing and remote work forces during the signing of the business deals amongst a handful of other organisations.

These dynamic companies are not only accepting the Covid-19 world with open arms but are also ramparting the need of the hour, the recession resiliency.

HOW HAVE THE BUSINESSES BEEN IMPACTED?

Despite the fact that somehow, every business has been able to keep itself intact amidst the current situation, it hasn’t been any easier for the small startups due to the lack of capital or reserves to sustain their existence especially those which were massively dependent on physical interactions like beauty salons, fashion boutiques, Health Care Centres for yoga etc.

Since these startups were habituated to getting constant customer reviews and then stimulating their growth, they are now afflicted by colossal losses to such an extent that their spontaneous takeaway on this entire situation has been to minimise the product marketing expenditure which should have otherwise been to explore much innovative methods.

All the types of businesses irrespective of their magnitude of growth can easily extract benefits out of digital marketing. The only thing that needs to be done is to bring about a small change in the route of reaching their customers i.e by making business accounts on social media to ensure the prolonged survival of their businesses.

Because customers are in immediate need of all sorts of products but they cannot step out of their homes so the only way to flourish is by doing business digitally.

THE FIRST STEPS TO CARRYING OUT A BUSINESS ONLINE

In the pre Covid era, every customer was well aware of the the “best” that every local business had to offer. Now as we take the present situation into consideration, some of these local businesses have been shutdown after being categorised as “non essential”. Also, the customers are not informed that whether or not they can still continue to buy products from their local favorites as there is a huge question mark on them being still in business.

So now this is the time that these affected startups and local businesses grab most of the opportunity and make this bold decision to step out from the confining walls of their stores and expose themselves to new horizons by establishing their accounts on social media and connecting with customers all over.

 CONNECTING WITH CUSTOMERS

Given below are enlisted three steps which are crucial in springing up that link between the buyer and the seller and keeping the momentum going to ensure the business continuity and also building strong connections by adhering to the technological aspects of the process.

1) The first email: If the delivery of products like milk, groceries etc has been affected by Covid 19, the business should make an effort to inform its customers via Email or WhatsApp briefing about the new changes.

2) ‎Updating about post-corona functioning on existing platforms: Businesses who already own emails or other digital communication facilities should inform their customers about the new methoods of operation.

3) ‎ Making announcements: Lastly, a public post on social media needs to be made regarding the resuming of online orders while also briefing about how their business is responding to the pandemic.

P.S~ This is a highly detailed research report that I have done on this topic and hence this is just PART 1 of it so that it doesn’t become too lengthy or monotonous.
Next part would be published soon.

5 TYPES OF PEOPLE IN LOCKDOWN

1) The Nonchalant Sleepyheads

They have no clue about what day or month is it. However they still remember that it is 2020 and they don’t fail to criticize the year for all the bad happenings. They keep  swinging between Netflix, Hotstar and Prime and rest for as long as their mothers don’t lose temper. They are happy that they get to sleep at any time, they’re having good food to eat and don’t have to do any kind of work besides binge watching and they are completely carefree with the current situation.

2)  The Ones In Heebie-Jeebies

They have kept themselves confined to a much stricter set of rules involving the coronavirus prevention. They are  always extra careful in washing their hands fifty times each day, rubbing even the nutrients away by over soaking the vegetables brought from a local vendor. They’d go on to  the lengths of scrubbing the air around them mercilessly, in the event that they, oh if by mistake, inhale the virus. Suspicion & Doubt is their new closest companion.

3) The Productivity Masters

Once the lockdown would be over, I bet they would come out with well defined six-pack abs or a flat belly (if they are she). And not to forget to mention, they even managed to gain expertise in baking different types of cake, donuts, cookies, pastries and the list goes on.
They are done with reading at least 15-20 books already and would have even finished stitching a mask by the time you will finish reading this article.

4) The back-to-normal Anticipators

Nobody craves for normalcy as much as they do for they just can’t wait for the day this Corona thing disappears and life gets back to as it was before. Because their mind  refuses to function only and they are profoundly scared of being able to make it in the Corona world post listening to daily dose of news, further panicking themselves. Okay, the problem doesn’t end right there, they even have to prevent the mask from sliding off their sweat-soaked nose.

5) The every-cloud-has-a-silver-lining Crowd
They are the ones who have vowed to stay optimistic under any circumstances. They have accepted the fact and are preaching people, through their posts on social media, regarding how the nature is cleansing itself and other xyz methods to learn to coexist with nature. They believe the glass is always half full and are sanguine about the situation being better again, but at the right time. These people don’t want to act as obstacles in the nature’s processes of regeneration and restoration. They are going to wait patiently till the time everything is sorted.

Hey guys! Hope you liked this slightly satirical article written with no offence to anybody. And what do you think  which category best suits you? Do let me know in the comment section below. If you ask me, I think I am a mix of all of them excluding the 2nd one.😛

Is Covid-19 really dangerous?

The Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19, has emerged in the year 2019 has become one of the hazardous diseases of the 21st century took away people’s breath and peace and became a pandemic causing whole of the world to stop at once. At the same time it forced people into struggling for their survival;some have to have there in hospitals all the time, others are chained into their own houses, while others are going here and there in search of a better place where they could assure safety for themselves. A lot of lives have been destroyed, people lost their loved ones, some are striving to assure everyone’s wellness. But one question arises in every individual’s mind is How dangerous is this Novel Coronavirus is?

Viruses before Covid-19

  • Plague-

Also known as black death, plague is a rare but serious infection transmitted by fleas. It has been responsible for widespread pandemics throughout the history, causing over 50 million deaths in Europe during the fourteenth century. But today can be easily treated with antibiotics.

  • Spanish flu-

One of the deadliest in the world history, Spanish flu infected an estimated 500 million people worldwide – about one-third of the planet’s population – and slaughtered an estimated 20 million to 50 million victims in 1918 and lasted till 1921, which is certainly a long time until any antibiotic was developed. It was just a strain of influenza that caused the pandemic during that time, but certainty the scientists and world doctors found out the best treatments.

  • SARS-

Though, today SARS (serve acute respiratory syndrome) has become one of the rarest diseases, it appeared in 2002 and spread worldwide in a few months. It is also a disease that spread from human-to-human, but it was in control after 2004.

  • Ebola virus-

Again one of the hazardous diseases that appeared in the year 1976 in 2 simultaneous outbreaks. The years 2014-16 saw the largest Ebola outbreak in West Africa since the virus was first discovered in 1976. It is thought that fruit bats of the Pteropodidae family are natural Ebola virus hosts, and it’s vaccine was out in 2015 after so many years of the outbreak, but surely it also got treated like other viruses and diseases.

Though the viruses mentioned above were all very perilous and people were killed in large numbers, but finally their cure was found out and people came victoriously out of them.

How dangerous is Covid-19?

The epicenter of the virus, Wuhan, first experienced the outbreak in August 2019 and slowly spread throughout the world in the year 2020. Today world’s most powerful countries such as USA, Brazil, Russia, India and UK have not been untouched from the effect of this monstrous virus. But, is the spread of this virus is never ending? Though the scientists all over the world are giving their hearts and souls but people are just freaking out about it so much that it has become a spurious news for all of the human race.

Since, the medical agencies claims that it is less transmissionable if one takes the proper preventive measures, such as wearing masks, using hand sanitizers frequently, avoiding human contact as much as possible and many more. Therefore, one cannot claim that it is inevitable and will curb all of the ephemerality and will surely come to an end some day. It is not likely that it is the only disease that have caused the slaughter of millions of people, then, why are we getting so distressed about it’s occurrence?

Although it is very dangerous and highly infectious, but at the same time we have provided with the preventive measures that can help us out keeping our infection risk low.

Where are we lagging behind?

Although we all are going through this fatal pandemic which will take a long time to be cured and one of the most critical part is we do not have the vaccine yet. Also, the world in which we are living today is kind of ruthless where everyone has to reach the utmost heights and that is why they can’t wait, but strife to work more and more.

But, then, do we only have to repent upon it or just get ourselves stressed out of it? No, the answer is clearly, a No. How long we will just sit back in our houses and wait for the virus to end? It is only our will power that will help end the fear and freight of the virus and we will definitely be able to get the best way out to dive out of the fear of the virus. Back in the 90s also, the vaccine didn’t came out immediately, but people learned the way to tackle with the world crisis. It is also the high time to let go our fears and make a bold move to make ourselves prepare for every pandemic and crisis to come up.

DIGITAL MARKETING: A WAY FORWARD

COVID-19 pandemic is a Humongous problem for companies everywhere, and it’s practically impossible to ignore the issue – it has changed the way business is executed everywhere.

Many owners and work managers are failing to shift the regular marketing strategies to a digital marketing (The new normal)

They are overlooking the situation because perhaps they have hope that some sudden turn of events towards normalcy will occur in the times of chaos.

Whatever may be the cause but this inability to adapt will cause grave concerns to the economic survival of the company.

Whereas, many organizations that have shown great adaptability by appointing digital marketing.

·       The impact – COVID: 19 on Businesses

There is no business which lies unaffected by the pandemic, worst sufferers are startups that do not have the capital or reserves to keep the struggle on and companies that relied completely on physical interactions, like salons, clothing stores, and yoga studios.

Accustomed to growth incitation by customer referrals and their awesome service reputations, they have experienced a very high revenue loss that their impulse reaction has been to cut marketing costs rather than exploring new and more effective options.

In turn, this unaccustomed reaction has had a detrimental ‘trickle’ effect on larger B2B companies work as providers to these smaller businesses.

Every business, be it your neighborhood departmental store or an enormous multinational firm, can benefit from digital marketing. Customers still need the products and services as much as ever—what these companies need to do is change the way they reach their target audiences. Even if a small enterprise doesn’t have an online page or portal (one in four do not have), it’s not very late to join in the businesses that are thriving online.

  1. Coming to – HOW TO?

It’s time for the affected businesses to make the transition from a fortress store to a digital provider by contacting their customers, reviving unused online assets like websites and social media profiles, and pedaling full speed ahead.

Contacting customers

The first step is to commence a dialogue between business and customers and carrying it forward. For companies that never collected email addresses, created a database, or engaged on a regular basis to their followers, it’s time now to do so.

Announce COVID-19 changes in an existing newsletter.

Companies with an existing newsletter can convey to its subscribers about any corona virus-related changes in the next edition. Send out a newsletter to let your customers know how your business is reacting to the pandemic

Boosting the company website Sorting businesses with SEO marketing

Coronavirus is changing the way that consumers shop. Approximately 47% of shoppers have stated that they are avoiding malls and shopping centers.

On the contrary note, SEO is undergoing a strong rise, with many brands reporting a significant hike in their organic search visibility from January to March 2020.

It is evident it’s time to invest in, not to cut back on, SEO. It is one of the most cost-effective digital marketing strategies, it’s also delivering results.

Shifting daily operations online

There are very few organizations that cannot make the transition of their daily operations. Credit to video conferencing applications like Zoom, Skype, and many other executives and managers can communicate and impart instructions to staff and hold client meetings from anywhere.

· Sales teams can take orders and reservations and provide services to customers via email, chat, or video. They no longer have to commute; they can even start work early leaving customers with longer support hours.

· Services that were previously delivered in person are surprisingly amenable to video presentations. Clients can pay online and receive a video link to live sessions.

Staff education also plays an important role in a successful transition—and this is time to enhance your team’s skills?

Online courses are highly cost-efficient, and teams can learn new skills that enable them to support each other whenever one department is down or facing issues. Courses on digital marketing are available on how it works and how to make the most out of all the opportunities.

·       The biggest question-What are my business benefits?

Many businesses are cutting costs on their marketing efforts due to COVID-19, but what they should really be doing is grabbing advantage of the new opportunities that are rising.

This emphasis on digital marketing is not something that they’ll want to slow down on once the lockdown ends. Online shopping is going to stop no-time soon, and most companies will find those web-based interactions to be convenient than in-person meetings.

Stores will reopen but alongside newly adopted ways of selling and engaging with customers.

While digital marketing may be regarded right now as an emergency plan, but by the time this is over, everyone will likely realize that it’s more than a temporary measure rather than a sustainable one. So GO DIGITAL AND BE FUTURE READY
