Discover your calling

One good time, I was leafing through the pages of the book ” Who will cry when you die”.A master piece book authored by ‘Robin Sharma’. His books are helping people around the world live great lives.

The very first lesson of the book struck a chord in me when I first read it. It read ‘Discover your calling’. By this time I was caught up & couldn’t resist myself going through the description of the lesson and amaze myself. And the description went like this:-

“When I was growing up, my father said something to me, I will never forget, ” Son, when you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice.”

We live in an age when we have forgotten what life is all about. We can easily post a photo on Instagram and Facebook and read the comments and talk to unknown people, but we have trouble walking across the street to meet a new neighbor. At present almost every country have their own missiles which can target with pinpoint accuracy, but we have trouble keeping a family meeting in our home, hanging out with friends, visiting a library and reading books. We have lost touch with our humanity. We have lost touch with our purpose. We have lost sight of the things that matters the most. In this lesson he asks us to ponder over some questions:-

He says that one of the greatest lessons he has learned In his own life is that if we don’t act on life, life has a habit of acting on us. The days slip into weeks, weeks slup into months and the months slip into years. Pretty soon it’s all over and we are left with nothing more than a heart filled with over a life half lived. “What would we do if we could live our life over again? “

Before we answer to this question in deep sigh and say that “I’d like to be the person I could have been but never was. ” We need to find greater purpose of our life and invest our life in serving the humanity. We need make a lasting contribution through our work so that we can enjoy the journey of life before it is too late. We all have special talents that are just waiting to be engaged in a worthy pursuit. We are all here for some unique purpose, some noble objective that will allow us to manifest our highest human potential while we at the same time, add value to the lives around us. Finding our calling doesn’t mean we must leave the job we have now. It simply means we need to bring more of ourselves into our work and focus on the things we do best. It means we have to stop waiting for other people to make the changes we desire and as Mahatma Gandhi noted: “Be the change that you wish to see most in your world. “ And once you do, your life will change.

He has a plan!

Just one bad hour and you named the whole day as a worst day. May be you were not good at that particular hour, may be the efforts you were putting in that particular hour was not sufficient and most important hour. May be that thing wasn’t meant for you.

Everything in this works works on a plan. No! I’m nit talking about your plan. There is one planner of every creature on this Earth. We are his child and we have to keep faith on his plan. All we need to be is patient. Patience is actually the MANTRA for good life. Having failure is OK. But accepting that failure as a lifetime failure is not good. You have to keep patience. Things will fall on your space. Think of the time when you achieved success. Think of the time when things were going good.

Blaming the situation or blaming your own capacity is not good will not help you. All it will do is pull your morale down. It will create feeling of self doubt in you. Always keep in mind that nothing is temporary, the time which has shown you the failure will also pass on. You have to decide how you deal with that failure. Every failure comes with a lesson.

If you accept your job interview failure with a positive attitude and thought to be patient and work harder on the next round, CONGRATULAION!! You passed the exam of your life.

And always remember passing every exam of life is more important than any other exams of your life.

What is heat wave?

Science behind US and Canada’s heat wave.

• Canada is reeling under severe heat wave, which has caused an unprecedented 195 percent risk in sudden fatalities within the past few days.

• In Portland city in Oregon, US temperatures as high as 46 degree celsius were recently registered- just three degree short of the internal core temperatures of a cooked shrimps.

• On June 29, temperature in Portland advanced to 46.7 degree celsius.

• Canada too saw it’s highest temperature ever recorded in the country’s west. In Lytton in British Columbia, temperature soared to over 46 degree celsius last week.

Canada’s heat wave:Toll tops 800

Hundred of deaths were being investigated as heat related in the US states of Oregon and Washington and in Canadian province of British Columbia

• 800 sudden and unexpected deaths have been reported. The abnormal heat wave caused the temperature in the country to rise to 49.5 degree celsius, an all time record. The weather experts have blamed the heat dome effect for the sudden rise in temperature.

• The national oceanic and atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says that to understand what causes a heat dome, one should liken the Pacific Ocean to a large swimming pool in which the heater is turned on.

• Once the heater is on, the portions of the pool close to the heating jets will warm up faster & therefore the temperature in that area will be higher. In the same way, the western’s Pacific Ocean’s temperature have increased in the past few decades & are relatively more than the temperature in the eastern Pacific.

• The phenomenon causing the scorching heat is called “heat dome”. Hot air is trapped by high pressure fronts and as it is pushed back to the ground, it heats up even more.

This condition also prevents clouds from forming, allowing for more radiation from the sun to hit the ground.

•This strong change in the ocean temperature from the West to the East is what a team of scientists believe is the reason for the heat dome, which is when the atmosphere traps heat at the surface, which increses the formation of heat wave.

• To compare the reason that the planet Venus is the hottest in the solar system is because its thick cloud cover traps the heat at the surface leading to temperature as high as 471 degree celsius.

Nourish Your own soul.

Every time we talk about love a person flashes in our mind. Be it be our family members, our friends, or our partner or our pet. But why every time we forget our own soul. Why we never think of ourselves.

We put so much of efforts in proving our love for others. Many times we go beyond the boundaries to show our love. We care for those to whom we love. Many time we enter in a situation where we are put into a dilemma to choose between our two most close relationships and to proof our love for one relationship we have to sacrifice the other relationship with heavy heartedly. Numbers are not enough to count how we do for our loved ones. But have we ever thought that to prove our love for others we sometimes forget our happiness, we do things which we never wanted to do.

Is this a justice we are doing with ourselves or with our soul? On Doomsday what will be our answer when will be asked what we have done to nourish our soul? What we done for ourselves to be happy. Many people get confuse between self-love and being loved. Getting attached to a person to whom you love is not self-love . That’s a temporary and uncertain thing for you. Once that person leaves you, you shatter, you just loose your own identity. But self-love doesn’t allow you to shatter. It nourishes your soul, it makes it happy always. Its like a support system to your emotional breakdown.

Many times we suppress our feelings for others happiness with a feeling that he’ll be hurt. But what about our feelings? Making others happy has just swallowed our own happiness. We need to understand that at the end it is our happiness that matters. Everyone leaves at one point of time, But our soul lives within us till death. Doing justice with our soul is the supreme judgement.

Skill India : The need for demographic dividend advantage.

“The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways.”

— Robert Greene

Success of any venture in the modern world is dependent on capital and infrastructure, rules and regulations, and most significantly on technological know-how or Skills. India has been a developing nation for a long time now because it has always faced issues in imparting skills to its labour force.

India is the second most populous country in the world after China but why does it still lag behind some of the major nations in terms of economy? The work force in India is humongous and it even has the advantage of Demographic dividend to their main competitor China. India’s median age  is 28 in 2020 against the 37 in China and the US, 45 in Europe and 49 in Japan. India has 62.5% of its population between the ages 19 to 55. Still according to the UNDP Human development report – 2020 only 21.1 % of the workforce is skilled in the period of 2010-2019.

So where is the impediment to growth of the nation’s economy? We can safely say that the approach to impart professional skills has some hindrances that need to be mend. India has taken many steps in the skill sector in the last few years. But the result is still dismal due to lack of wholesome approach towards the skill india.

Obstacles

This year’s budget has allocated 3000 crore to the national apprenticeship training scheme but has restricted it to only engineering and not to other streams which needs to be addressed.

The authorities are overburdened with the responsibility to impart skills to the public beyond their capacities.

The policies have been discontinued and irregular thus making it far from possible to skill India at the required rate.

According to a 2019 study by NSDC almost 70 million people in the working age 15-59 years are estimated to enter the labour force by the end of 2022. The current policies are not sufficient to skill these sheer numbers.

Way Ahead

People in India have always focused on academic results and always been dependent on theoretical knowledge instead of practical skills. But a change in this approach has come in the form of the new education policy 2020 that has emphasised on skills and practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge. Matching the skills requirement in the industry that are dynamic in modern world with the training programs are also needed so that the skills acquired by the youth are not obsolete in near future. Spending on education and training needs to be hiked.

It has been estblished that the skilling the youth has given fruitful results for a nation. Japan was such first nation to recognize it and made the most of it. Today Japan is a colossal name in terms of economy in the world. India can also make the most of it. The dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat can be secured by taking the advantage of the demographic dividend which in turn can be truly utilised by skilling India.

as per the report published in the India times

India leads the world in teen age depression

in 4 youth one is depressed the percentage of depression is 25% .the depression destroying the creativity and efficiency of the youth how we can run our country with depressed engine it is a big problem but in the present senerio in our household we do not consider it as a big peroblem parents must take care the mental health of their young children the increasing sucidal cases is the outcome of the depression. the level of depression will increase exponenentially in the coming years because in this era of panademic students are not able to go colleges and eventually not learning the practical knoweledge this will decrease the productivity of the youth and would not be able to secure their dream jobs. we are not techniacally too advanced during online classe there is always problem of audio and video and the students gets incomplete knoweledge and with this incomplete knoweldege a sense of lack of confidence is developing and with lack of confidence a major section of youth is sunking in the depresssion youth is the main asset of our nation we must to take care of our youth

students to cope with this depression should do meditation and always try to get busy in new skills learning it is a difficult time it would definitely pass and the world become normal

The real sense of Equality

We are running in the world of Feminism. FEMISNISM? What today’s society’s girls and women are practicing is this really feminism or are they really Feminist? Actually NO! They are the Pseudo Feminist .The time has gone when feminists used to fight for their right for their empowerment. Now feminism or call it a “PSEUDO FEMINISN” is about playing girl card whenever they feel like this are not going according to their way. Making their tears to validate their point of view. Taking undue advantage of their menstrual pain.

I still don’t get why women use their menstruation as their weakness. This is God given thing and I don’t think God has given women this thing thinking that females are weak. He knew that only women can bleed straight for 5-7 days and still live. Women should be cherishing this power. Because I don’t think any power we receive from Almighty makes us weak.

What we actually need to understand is that equality doesn’t mean giving more right to any section of the society be it be male or female. You are a 25 years old young beautiful lady sitting on the reserved seats of ladies of the metro and a 60 year old man with weak joints standing right in front of you and you are not giving up your seat just because you think it is reserved for you. As you are “LADY”. And you nag for equal rights. An unemployed female member of a family is acceptable but not an unemployed male member even though the female is earning and financial situation of the family is stable. Mom is not working because she has to handle the home, she has to be a good mother. But what if father is not working? Does he live on his wife’s earning? Is he uneducated? Why is this so? Is being a father only mean to earn? Is that all the character of an idle father. When two families meet for marriages the very 1st and important question is “Kamata kitta hai ladka?” And when the same family start putting restriction on their daughter-in-law the feminists starts road shows. My dears, you all only gave them right to suppress you as a girl. Now just stop being an hypocrite!

I agree that from the very beginning females are deprived from many of their rights and I also want that females get empowered. Rights should be for their betterments and for society development. These females are using rights in creating groups like LOCKER ROOM or Putting fake rape charges on innocents.

It is not that I support male dominated society no completely not! I just believe in TRUE SENSE OF EQUALITY.

MALE=FEMALE

GST DAY ON FOUR YEAR COMPLETION

India recently celebrated 4 years of completion of GST since its implementation. 1 july has been selected as GST Day by ministry of Finance as GST was enacted on this day 2017. GST (Goods and services tax) is a single indirect tax regime eliminating compounding effects of various taxes at various levels. It was labelled as a game changer by many experts. But the question is how far it has accomplished its goals.

 The Good

The GST has brought the number of taxpayers to almost double the taxpayers before the implementation of GST

https://www.livemint.com/news/india/gst-reduced-tax-rates-doubled-taxpayer-base-to-1-24-crore-finance-ministry-11598278072466.html

There is a substantially positive change in tax to gross domestic product ratio which signifies a positive impact on Indian economy other than this the process to file taxes and register for GST have been digitised making it convenient for taxpayers. Taxpayers can easily track all their dues and process for GST

The Bad

Even though the GST has made startup culture easy for some it still has some drawbacks to be tackled. Registering in every state to trade has been tedious and puts a financial burden on the taxpayers. The businesses have to face technical issues in IT platforms of the GST portal that brought some delays in the business. Not separating the micro enterprises from the tax regime has put a burden on small business owners.

Still India has impressed the world by enacting a history making tax regime in the nation. Steps taken by the government have been appreciated by many nations. The overall success of the GST lies in the schemes made keeping the welfare and interest of the stakeholders in mind.
