Moreover one might feel depressed and anxious due to the lockdown but then nature can help to maintain mental peace.By coming close to nature one can feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Different colours and the greenery contribute to keep a person healthy and mentally fit.. Even the psychologists recommend this to the patients who suffer from anxiety and stress due to this current situation.

#Student Lives Matter campaign : Cancel exams

As when the students from all over the country are getting notices regarding the tentative dates of examinations supposed to be held in July from their respective universities. Students are in hypertension and are worried due to conduction of exams in this unrest situation caused by COVID-19 pandemic .

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal states that ” Universities to conduct final year exams, 1st and 2nd year students will be promoted based on the internal marks .”
So the final year students from all over the country are now in chaos and anxiety for the exams supposed to be conducted in July.

Students have shown lack of faith in government and examination authorities over the issue invoking health reasons due to pandemic. And that’s why students started this #StudentLivesMatter campaign on twitter and on other social media platforms taking hue from #BlackLivesMatter.

#StudentLivesMatter became the top trending hashtag on twitter on Sunday. It was received and retweeted by more than 104,000 users.

Various national and state universities decided to take online exams . But students are pointing that they all had to unexcepedtly leave the hostels in March due to COVID-19 and so they lack proper study material . And also some students belong to rural areas where they face network issues so it’s genuinely going to be difficult for them to give exams.

Students are demanding that all students should be promoted on the basis of their internal and previous semester/year marks akin to intermediate university/college students.
Amity University had already taken a notable step and cancelled its all exams.

As some Universities declared tentative dates related to conduction of offline exams , students are putting several questions on social media that what if one student will be found infected and from him/her virus can spread to many other students then who will take the responsibility of students lives and what if students get infected during their travel from their respective home cities to colleges.

Since corona virus cases are increasing day by day and when currently in India there are more than 2 lakh patients are tested positive . So is it necessary to conduct exams on putting students lives on stake ? Is taking exams more important than the life of students ( those students who are considered as future of any nation ) ?

Two weeks after Israel fully reopened schools , a COVID-19 outbreak swept throughout the classrooms which lead to 130 cases at a single school , due to which officials had to close dozens of schools where students and staff were infected.
Recently , 3 departments of Utkal University sealed after employee’s contact test positive for COVID-19.
Both UG and PG students from all over the country are putting their efforts through #StudentLivesMatter campaign so that their voices should be heard and government and educational institutions will take such decisions which will be in the benefit for all.

The Big R Or The Invisible C?

Amidst the raging Corona pandemic, another widespread form of a virus known as racism has resurfaced and come to light and is making waves amidst the global community currently under lockdown. George Floyd, a black 46-year-old man died after a white police officer Derek Chauvin put his knee on Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes leading to his untimely death. This incident took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota leading to mass protests throughout the US and soon leading to global protests with around 50 countries like UK, Australia, Germany, Austria etc joining in the protests.

The protests are taking place whilst the corona pandemic is raging throughout the globe. People have been flouting social distancing norms with no regard for their personal safety. People have been protesting throughout the globe through mass gatherings. So the big question that needs to be answered is what do the people fight? An invisible enemy that takes lives or the grave discrimination that profiles humans based on skin colour?

Darren Sammy, a West Indies cricketer pointed out that he had been racially profiled as “Kalu” in India which he had mistaken as a compliment during his stay as an IPL cricketer. The tendency amongst humans to judge their superiority based on their skin colour is foolhardy. Kids grow up emulating those around them and observing blatant racist jibes and practices which mould them into toxic human beings from their tender years. Often black children are bullied in schools and mistreated leading to them suffer from depression, low self-esteem and some eventually succumbing to the emotional abuse through suicide.

On the other hand, over 70 lakh people have been globally infected with Covid-19 as on 8th June 2020 with over 4 lakh deaths. Thus one may question as to why people would have mass protests with thousands huddled together, flouting the social distancing norms and risk personal safety and pose a public hazard.  The answer may lie in the repetitive instances of insensitive discrimination based on race and skin colour. People are frustrated with already having to deal with a deadly virus and then tolerating gruesome racist treatment from people who are no less than the human incarnation of viruses. The wrath of the people could be visible in Bristol where they pulled down the statue of a controversial slave trader named Edward Colston who worked for a company that had transported 80,000 men, women and children to America.

We need to work towards eradicating Corona from our planet yet such sad incidents like the George Floyd murder impedes our progress in doing so. The wrath and intolerance of people towards such incidents are totally justifiable yet the mass protests, devoid of social distancing may have laid seeds for an even bigger monster and may end up costing the global community more lives than just one. We need a community devoid of prejudice towards our fellow beings. We are one and black lives do matter. However, we have to be wise in fighting and combatting both these grave impediments to a flourishing global community.

While the fight against Covid-19 may have an eventual end with a vaccine but the fight against racism will continue for ages to come. The seeds of racial profiling and discrimination have been embedded in our global culture through our ancestors and put into practice by our society. A deeper psychological evaluation may lead one to discover that the constant need to feel superior from other races may evolve from deep-seated insecurity of one’s own culture and race. The big R or the invisible C? We can’t choose one over the other. We have to fight both of them wisely.

Drama- A form of art

Drama

“Every child is an artist”

Drama is the specific mode of art represented in the form of performance. The term comes from a Greek word “dran” meaning “action” which is derived from to do or “to act”. Drama is an art form that explores human conflict and tension. It takes the form of a story presented to audience through dialogue and action. Drama is also a type of play written for theatre, television, radio and film. The person who writes drama for stage directions is known as dramatist. For more information you can check out http://www.wallpics.com

Drama developed as a result of the evolution of theatre as an art. A number of elements contribute to the specific nature of drama. It has a plot-it reproduces a course of events, ita action has dramatic tension and is broken down into scenes and episodes, characters have continuity. The purpose of drama is to “have an effect on the crowd, the many ,and to attract their curiosity.

Types of drama:

  • Comedy- comedies are lighter in tone than ordinary works, and provide a happy conclusion. The intension of dramatists in comedies is to make their audience laugh.
  • Tragedy- tragic dramas use darker themes, such as disaster, pain and death.
  • Melodrama- melodrama is an exaggerated drama, which is sensational and appeals directly to the senses of the audience.
  • Musical drama- in musical drama, dramatists not only tell their stories through acting and dialogue, but through dance as well as music.

The primary intent of a drama movie is to portray realistic characters. Drama movies are usually serious presentations or stories with settings or life situations. A dramatic film depicts human beings at their best, worst, and everything in-between. In order for you to be sad in a drama, the director must create an environment that puts you in a sad mood;then it can be considered a drama, because the sad emotion was successful. At first you feel hurt. A pain that, at first glance, puts you in an emotional state. From there, you would shift into an even more unsettling emotion of sadness that leads you to the deepest state you can be in, weeping or crying. To prove that someone can make a good drama, the right steps to be taken in production. It is more to produce a successful drama that doesn’t just make you feel poignant, but creates an effective way that will give you the desired emotional result you are seeking in a drama.

As the popular words say “All the world’s a stage”. The phenomenon of drama can be observed in many aspects of a life, especially in a modern world. It is not only playing on a stage but also behavior of people in society. So drama is a complex phenomenon that can be characterised in many ways.

Drama has laid the foundation for the evolution of other genres of Literature like the novel or the short story. The presentation of tension and the resolution or the irresolution of conflict is the main theme in any dramatic enactment. Theoretically speaking, it is called rising tension, crisis and falling tension. So, being a form of art, it should be conducted for awareness and knowledge of our ancient Literature and values.

MIRROR – WHICH NEVER LIES

The object which always helps you see your good side is your mirror. Therefore it must be made in such a way that before entering that area your mind automatically turns your mood from stress, tiredness to a happy mind, for that i came up with solution for your every question. The interior design for the wash basin is made in such a way that one will never think of letting it remain dirty like we do with other common wash basin. This basin is set up in such a way that it only not only just be remained as a place for washing your face and hands rather on the other hand it will be acting as a part of your daily routine because our team has done some major changes while seeing towards modernization as we choose some add up of wood to which people think that it’s not good because regular dropping of water will decrease its life but the wood we use is waterproof and keeps the shine remains as it was on the first day of fitting. The compartments were also made so as to hide the ugliness of the pipes that shows up in old times and used for keeping extra substance rather than keeping them on the surface. The major role is played by any object then that object is the proper lighting of the room which is known to be game changer because if the correct is lighting is done then it will make it look more lavish and luxurious, therefore a bright and calm light is use widely in this area rather than any part of the whole building. I also suggest the perception of keeping the greenery around that area because it is said that people spend more time in front of mirror rather talking to someone therefore it is important to keep that area fresh. So that is why small plants are used. Then another role is played by the floor because that is the area which used to be slippery then any part of house therefore the tiles used here is non-slippery and shiny so that the light must reflects in every direction when its falls on the floor. Then the next change that should be done is based on the wall colouring because everyone doesn’t choose wood, some only wants keep the walls filled with different colours therefore the colour used here are of high quality which must reflects every corner of that area and increases its lavishness because if we kept the wall simple then the walls will not be according to every fabulous touch given to the room. Therefore for every room colour is must, because colours speaks what kind of person you are and in which environment you live because this can only get done by us for you and makes you a better place for living. “The choice is yours that if you want to live the modern life or to remain in the present situation.”

Swiggy to shut down it’s independently working food delivery service-scootsy.

Bangalore-based food-tech unicorn, Swiggy plans to close its on-demand online food delivery service Scootsy, a Mumbai-based startup which it acquired in 2018, for an estimated value of Rs. 50 Crore, to expand its operations in the online food delivery segment.

Scootsy,  was permitted to function as an independent app, serving food from a curated list of brands (such as Masque, Nara Thai, Royal China, Trattoria),gourmet food stores, and  bakeries after the takeover in Mumbai.

Swiggy is one of the many big Indian brands that have been adversely affected by the Corona-virus pandemic.Food delivery business in India saw a 70% drop in food order volume, with just 25% of listed restaurants operational.

In the past month, Swiggy has concentrated on luxury ‘curated’ consumer food delivery and has been linking itself to premier hotel groups like ITC Hotels, Marriott, Hyatt, KA Hospitality and such similar brands—to raise its average order volume and size on its website as it aims to benefit further from high-ticket size orders.

Thus the major food startup is planning to fully merge Mumbai-based Scootsy, an already premier food delivery brand , on its own platform and will redirect Scootsy’s customers to the Swiggy app. With this it will also undertake the transitioning of Scootsy’s partners and delivery fleet onto the Swiggy platform.

“Swiggy has seen a increase in demand over the past few months for customized food choices from premium brands. In order to extend our reach to all discerning consumers across Mumbai, we will be transferring the services provided by Scootsy to Swiggy ‘s platforms in the near future. This will be the first big step in setting up the premium category for Swiggy,” said a Swiggy representative.

Recently, gourmet restaurants have slowly begun to tap food distribution services such as Swiggy to ensure continuity of business as the industry expects  changes in consumer behavior toward eateries.

Should Exams be the only Guideline on which students potential should be evaluated?

Exams are conducted to check our knowledge but why there is so much emphasis over the result .How can a piece of paper can decide our future .Over and over we have told by school or by society that the result will give a path to your career. Why’s it always about doing better than other rather than improving ourselves?Due to which it leads to comparison .

Exams are indeed important, it helps students to overcome their nerves. Hence, it helps in developing one’s personality and confidence. Exams are the opportunity to improve ourselves. But exams can’t always tell you the real potential of a student. In today’s world, exams are pills of stress and frustration and indeed it’s true exams doesn’t decide our fate.

Our educational system has so many loopholes. Why is their no practical exposure , indeed it focus on who cram well and score good?

According to National Crime Reports Bureau every hour one student suicide in India . The NCRB data shows that 10,159 students died by suicide in 2018, an increase from 9,905 in 2017, and 9,478 in 2016.India’s has world’s highest suicide rate committed by youth between 15-29.

Most of the students suicide in depression since they not able to perform well in exams.Young people find it difficult to handle failures as they are neither supported by families nor social institutions .India endures an 87% scantiness of mental-health professionals.Universities in India still lack counselling centres, where trained counsellors and psychologists can assist students at the onset of emotional and mental problems.

Failure is just not the end of the life .Why student are not able to cope up with failures?Because we as a society is not able to support them. They have just fail an exams not in their life .They can overcome failure their is always a scope of improvement .

Education system has become a business in India.Despite attending school’s most of students went to coaching institute , tuition’s .Why 6 hours are not enough? Then why institution charging us a massive amount ?They have practicing education as a way of earning money.Rather to share knowledge.

Why there is no focus on extra curriculum subjects music ,sports, drawing why these subjects are not given significance .All field required creativity and so these too. We want youth to upgrade their skills .That’s why exams were introduced.

Exams should be conducted ,but some changes have to be made .Exams should evaluate student on the basis of personal projects, tests, speaking, drama, and other exciting activities where the student should focus more on desire to showcase their talent .We should make student understand they should focus on improving themselves day by day rather to compete for the marks .More projects more the practical exposure more they will become creative .Exams only motive is to measure improvement in themselves so they doesn’t feel inferior .Self-evaluation Exam should be conducted, wherein the student does not feel inferior than other and learns from his or her own mistakes and apply what they have learned in diverse forms.Exams should be given to demonstrate and use what knowledge they have acquired.

Gun control laws: Should be increased or DECREASED…..

As a miasmic environment threatens to envelop, and ultimately, suffocate the world, bullets and bandages have never been more in demand. A myriad of mirrages have shrouded our eyes making us blind to the obvious. Whether gun control laws should be increased or decreased is one of the most pertinent question asked due to today’s scenario. People don’t think twice and hire mafias and rowdies just to make sure that no one intrude into their illegal businesses. They don’t have any idea of what collateral damage they are doing to the world.

Gun control laws in India:-

Countries like India have one of the most strictest gun control laws in the world. Getting a gun license in India is one of the difficult tasks which could take years. Now, in the most ambitious restructuring of arms rules in more than five decades, the government has made the laws even more tougher. Prospective gun owners will have to show they have been trained, and they must carry their firearms only in holders and secure them in a “knocked down” condition in gun lockers at home.

Well, above were the tactics when the gun owners follow the rules. But, now also there are many whose business is the smuggling of weapons and they are not frightened of the repercussions, whoever comes in their way is killed. These are the things which will not end . Whether more laws are made or not, if actions against these are not taken than collateral damage will proceed to a much greater extent.

Gun control laws in US:-

The Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA) , which regulates firearms at federal level, requires that citizens and legal residents must be at least 18 years of age to purchase shortguns or rifles and ammunition. All other firearms- handguns for example- can only be sold to people 21 and older. A 2014 study found that states that required licensing and inspections of gun dealers tended to have lower rates of gun homicides. Another study published the same year, analyzing panel data from all 50 states, found that stricter gun laws may modestly reduce gun deaths.

Gun control laws in Ice Land:-

Ice Land is one of the most gun loving counties in the Northern Atlantic. This country has no such strict gun laws and an amazing thing about this country is that no gun encounters or homicides have been reported from this country. Isn’t it an amazing factor that countries which have strict gun control laws reports maximum number of deaths due to gun encounters and homicides, and those with no such laws reports nothing as such.

Hence, this was the motive of this article to establish a difference amongst those countries with mild, strict and no gun control laws. Therefore, to conclude, there should be a strict action which has to be taken by the authorities instead of making laws, because nothing stops anyone from doing anything wrong. This has to be kept in mind that when damage is being done, and is not stopping, then it is going to increase no matter what.

Yes, people pull the trigger- but guns are the instrument of death. Gun control is necessary, and delay means more death and horror. – Eliot Spitzer undefined
