The night was still young.

A short horror story! It was the time in the early 80’s. In the village area of Rajasthan. Back then there were no transportation system and they had to travel on the cycles, and during the night time there was no proper lights, not even the street lights. People had to travel with the dim light in the night. There were around five people who used to work in an office and all were good friends. The work time was of morning 10 to evening 7 but as there were no transportation system they used to travel together and get separated as soon as their paths divides and that round upto 8 or 9 at night. They all were extremely hard working. Once all decided to have a small vacation and planned a one day trip. Everyone were excited as in those times people doesn’t know to enjoy enough. Carried the essentials with them, also took cooking stuffs as they decided to cook all by themselves. They reached near a river bank, gets a bath in that river and cook by themselves. It was a memorable moment for them. There were no gadgets back then, even then they knew to enjoy. Everything goes as per planned. It was now the time to return. All were heavily drunk so they decided to hire a car, not so fashionable one but an ordinary car as the car were not so popular back then and were extremely expensive but somehow they managed to hire one. All the stuffs were kept in the back side of the car and soon everyone grabbed their seat. The ride started, drizling air has been showered all the way long. The night was still seemed young! A big round moon projected in the sky..! Everything seemed alright. Everyone busy playing antakshri but out of nowhere the driver aksed to slow down the pitch a bit as the area was totally vacant…he asked everyone not to ask him to stop the car at any cost. Whatsoever may happen but he will not stop the car that way. Later sometime a person among them asked to stop as the lady was passing by. He seemed to sympathise as she was old and the cool breezes were all around also it was all dark by now. But driver didn’t seemed to listen to him and kept minding his own business. After repeatedly being aksed to stop the car the driver asked them to shut their mouth as the car was running at the speed of 60kmph, and the lady was running beside the car!! Had chills down your spine ; )

Ps:- A self made horror story. Let me know if you want more like this; )

The creation of the swiftest fifth-matter

We know the usual three-phase or the state of matter exist around us, namely solid, liquid, and gas. What exactly is it? We can define it as something which exists in this universe, which has some weight of its own and consists of several atoms. When we move to the molecular level, we can see that they bind to each other; hence they’re the building blocks for every material. Let’s discuss them in detail.

Solids in which the particles are close to each other with almost no movement. This structure is visible through a powerful microscope. You know that a solid with its shape doesn’t change unless we apply some external force. Due to its high density, it attains stability. The liquid, which we commonly drink like water have slightly less force of attraction, so it can change its shape when we alter it. Gas is all around us. The atmosphere itself consists of 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen, and other major constituents.

Ripples in the water

Let me introduce to the two unfamiliar matters we rarely know. Plasma found in televisions, and I guess you may already make this guess earlier. This matter is also present in neon signboards, computer chips, and even the inner lining of your favorite chips packet, the shiny metallic layer. Most importantly, it is the most natural state ever found in the entire universe; after all, the stars are also plasma at very high temperatures.

So, now moving on to the fifth matter, the BEC. Originated back in 1924, one of the great scientists, Albert Einstein, along with the Indian physicists, Satyendra Nath Bose in his papers, described the condensate and named after them. This matter was created in 1995 at the University of Colorado using lasers and magnets. They cooled a sample of a metal known as Rubidium, atomic number 35 to almost zero degrees at an instant. Due to the sudden change of temperature, the atoms internally couldn’t move much. Later the kinetic energy lost, and a giant molecule got created.

A shiny beam of light.

In the year 2020, the researchers were able to recreate it with less than a blink of an eye, which is still very slow and maybe much less than you could ever imagine. It just got created in 100 femtoseconds, i.e., only in 10-13 seconds. Even the advanced cameras couldn’t work so fast. The researchers of Finland described the process where they pumped in energy in 50 femtoseconds was visible, but with 300 femtoseconds, it wasn’t noticeable. The condensate generates a very sharp striking band of light, very bright, which may have more uses in the future. Now with further advancement, the matter was even created in the space on the largest space station, ISS, where there is zero-gravity. The research in areas got carried out using Cold Atom Lab, a 70-million-dollar lab with only 0.4 cubic meter space with all necessary items to create the BEC. The lab process of creation was also patented, and they are eager to work more in the field.

Self-Reliant India

The Prime Minister in his address on 12th May 2020 gave a call for self-reliant India. The definition of self-reliance has changed in the globalised world and he clarified that when the country talks about self-reliance, it is different from being self-centred. He said that India’s culture considers the world as one family, and progress in India is part of, and also contributes to, progress in the whole world. He noted that the world trusts that India has a lot to contribute towards the development of the entire humanity.

Five pillars of self-reliant India

Self-Reliant India will stand on five pillars viz.

  1. Economy: which brings in quantum jump and not incremental change;
  2. Infrastructure: which should become the identity of India;
  3. System: based on 21st-century technology-driven arrangements;
  4. Vibrant Demography: which is our source of energy for a self-reliant India; and
  5. Demand: whereby the strength of our demand and supply chain should be utilised to full capacity. He underlined the importance of strengthening all stakeholders in the supply chain to increase, as well as fulfil, the demand.

Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan

The Prime Minister announced a special economic package and gave a clarion call for Atmanirbhar Bharat. He noted that this package, taken together with earlier announcements by the government during COVID-19 crisis and decisions taken by RBI, is to the tune of Rs. 20 lakh crore, which is equivalent to almost 10% of India’s GDP. He said that the package will provide a much-needed boost towards achieving ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. He observed that the package will also focus on land, labour, liquidity and laws. It will cater to various sections including cottage industry, MSMEs, labourers, middle class, industries, among others.

Talking about the positive impact of reforms like JAM trinity and others, brought about in the last six years, Prime Minister said that several bold reforms are needed to make the country self-reliant so that the impact of crisis such as COVID-19 can be negated in future. These reforms include supply chain reforms for agriculture, rational tax system, simple and clear laws, capable human resource and a strong financial system. These reforms will promote business, attract investment, and further strengthen Make in India. Self-reliance will prepare the country for tough competition in the global supply chain, and the country must win this competition. The same has been kept in mind while preparing the package. It will not only increase efficiency in various sectors but also ensure quality. Highlighting their contribution to the country, Prime Minister said that the package will also focus on empowering the poor, labourers, migrants, etc., both from organized and unorganized sectors. He observed that the crisis has taught us the importance of local manufacturing, the local market and local supply chains.

Bold Reform-Need of the Hour

  1. Supply chain Reform for Agriculture
  2. Rational Tax System
  3. Simple and Clear Laws
  4. Capable Human Resource
  5. Strong Financial System

Self Reliant is the imperishable call from the side of PMO. It is the time in which India should stand on his own feet. The time has come to prove himself as a ‘teacher of the world’ as it was in the past.

‘Ego And Attitude’ – The Enemy Of A Person

Ego and attitude are the trends that lead to the downfall of a person’s character. Every human being should abandon egoism and try to live in harmony. If we want to give other name to ego and attitude we can name them sickness and termites. As the bacterias of illness  weakens our body day by day and finish one day, it makes a person drunk in such a way that not only the person goes into a fantasy world beyond the truth, but also gives birth to a desperate situation which is unjust for life.
In life the synonym of sorrow is ego. Due to egoism the person starts considering himself superior to everyone and best in every field of knowledge. They remain drunk to such an extent that they never understands the need of others in the field of knowledge, experience and advice. There are countless creatures in the world, among them the weakest organism also has a tremendous quality, with which they grow in their ability. But a person who has ego can never accept the simulation of anyone.

Where the ego exists, there is no growth in humility, intelligence, tact and prudence. The person who has ego, all people are always low and low in his eyes. He always gets happiness by obstructing others and makes hi way by falling others.

As the rank of an egoistic person increases, his or her arrogance also increases. He is so engrossed in the power, wealth, etc. that he never imagines that one day he will also fall, there will be difficulties in life and there will be no one to stand with him at that time. As an unfortunate human being, he will have to achieve inner degeneration while living in the midst of suffering. No matter how good a person is, if he is egoistic then all his qualities become blurred in the same way as the layer of ashes on blazing coals fires the fire.
A person with ego is considered to be the most despised creature of mankind. He does not hesitate to commit any sin to maintain his vital sense. Self-praise is born in a person with ah bhava and in the state of accepting himself as the highest, it looks in its best form. Many types of mental disorders also arise due to arrogance, including trespassing without caring for the rights of others.

The eagle is like a mirage, which neither pacifies his thirst nor others. Bypassing all their weaknesses and forgetting to consider themselves complete in every field, is said to be the first characteristic of an egoist. He also keeps many misconceptions about himself as if he is intelligent and always sees the shortcomings and faults of others. He gets joy in Parninda. If any of your friends are arrogant, believe one day you will definitely get hatred, hatred, anger, vengeance on one of their gifts. Because the narrow self-proclaimed brain only gives rise to similar thoughts.

Humility is the jewel of personality. It starts with the end of the ego. Experiences of peace and joy can be found in life only when we are humble, we have to awaken our inner boundless power by remembering the jewels of humility. Can save and keep the foundation of your happy life.

LEARN HYDROPONICS IN QUARANTINE

Hydroponics

We have many checklist being prepared in Quarantine whereas everyone wish to grow vegetables with ease. The heavy alarm of World Health Organisation tells Covid 19 pandemic is going to be very harder in the upcoming month. So let us be more organic to our body. Meanwhile you are reading this content if you have children or young generation tell them to learn as a hobby this is quite interesting and creative!

What is hydroponics?

It is a type of horticulture and a subset of hydro culture, which is a method of growing plants without soil with a mineral nutrient solution into a water solvent. The main basic idea behind this concept of hydroponics is to allow the plants roots to come to direct contact with the nutrient solution which it gets oxygen directly and helps for the growth of plants.

What can be grown in hydroponics?

  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Cucumber
  • Spring onions
  • Bell pepper
  • Spinach
  • Berries
  • Coriander
  • Basil

How does it work?

It works through the process called Photosynthesis which we studied in our school days , they use sunlight and chemical inside the leave called chlorophyll to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. Where there is no mention of soil here, plants obtain both from the soil . In this method we get nutrients rich although from water and air. The different types of hydroponics system are available they are deep water culture, nutrients flim techniques, Aeroponics, wicking, ebb effect, drip system.

Advantages and disadvantages of hydroponics

The growth of hydroponics plants is very faster compared to soil based plants because here there will be equal distribution of nutrients and it requires only less water which will be the greatest advantage for the metropolitans.

The Disadvantage behind this system lays upon while setting up a large scale system of hydroponics where it requires a lot of time.

Simple hydroponics to grow at home

  • Take a vessel filled with water
  • Place the plastic vegetable basket(it should be holed)
  • Add some coriander seed into the basket
  • Pour some water

After 5 to 6 days you can see your fresh coriander leaves in the basket. Note you can cut in the half and it grows automatically if you want you can also add organic fertiliser into the water and mix it .

Hydroponics is the way to try some magic of growing plants easily without soil. Start with the basic daily needs of coriander, mint ,tamoto. Enjoy the fragrance of organic foods. Believe me it will give you the era of satisfaction while you are eating the food.

Sushant singh rajput and bollywood

14 June, 2020. I write and underline this date in red.

It’s been a week and a day since we lost the great actor to suicide. While we flood social media with tributes to him and awareness about mental health, Sushant is probably flailing around and looking down at us through the smoky clouds.

In this post, I’m not going to dove on about mental health, nor I am going lay flowers for him. This post isn’t a rant; this is serious and needs to be more talked about.

On the morning of 14th, the whole nation was left in a state of shock. It was the third death in Bollywood in the past two months, all of which were sudden and unexpected.

Since his death, a lot has been unraveled about the Bollywood, its dark side and the nepotism in the industry.

This is post is not to blame anyone, nor to praise anyone. It is about what we as an audience can do, with a slight concoction about the aforementioned topics.

  1. We need to be a vigilant and responsible audience, we need to watch and like the content, rather than the actors.

We have pedestalizedthe film workers so much that we forgot that they, too, like us are just at a job. A job which is as ordinary as ours, just that everyone and anyone under the sky can have access to it, acknowledge it or reject it.

  • We choose and make someone’s career, we need to watch their work and assess it and not just absorb anything that they show us.
  • While we blame the hierarchical paradigm of Bollywood and lash out the ones who are where they are because of blood, we must not start targeting everyone. Those at fault must be gripped but those who have done nothing wrong, shall not be targeted.
  • Bollywood is the nation’s industry just like BHEL or BSNL. Everyone shall have the opportunity to work in it, and this should not be regulated by the already established workers.

A government regulated systemic processes shall be incorporated that check the industry and recruit the workers.

Bollywood does not belong to star kids; it belongs to us, our nation and its common people.

Raise your voice before it’s too late and we are robbed of our own industry.

An Introduction

I don’t know politics but I know the names
Of those in power, and can repeat them like
Days of week, or names of months, beginning with Nehru. I am Indian, very brown, born in Malabar,
I speak three languages, write in
Two, dream in one.
Don’t write in English, they said, English is
Not your mother-tongue. Why not leave
Me alone, critics, friends, visiting cousins,
Every one of you? Why not let me speak in
Any language I like? The language I speak,
Becomes mine, its distortions, its queernesses
All mine, mine alone.
It is half English, Half Indian, funny perhaps, but it is honest,
It is as human as I am human, don’t
You see? It voices my joys, my longings, my
Hopes, and it is useful to me as cawing
Is to crows or roaring to the lions, it
Is human speech, the speech of the mind that is

The poem “An Introduction” by Kamala Das talks of the desires, the disappointment and the struggles that generally a traditional Indian woman had to face in her time. She says that she doesn’t know politics but can rant the names of all the politicians in the country. She introduces herself as Indian, detailing her skin tone, her place of stay and the language that she prefers to write. She talks of the people that criticize her for using English as a medium to express her thoughts. She says that she knows that her English isn’t perfect but English is able to express her thoughts better than any other language can for it gives voice to her aspirations, her troubles, joys. English is as useful to her as cawing is to crows or roaring is to lions.

Here and not there, a mind that sees and hears and
Is aware. Not the deaf, blind speech
Of trees in storm or of monsoon clouds or of rain or the
Incoherent mutterings of the blazing
Funeral pyre. I was child, and later they
Told me I grew, for I became tall, my limbs
Swelled and one or two places sprouted hair.
When I asked for love, not knowing what else to ask
For, he drew a youth of sixteen into the
Bedroom and closed the door, He did not beat me
But my sad woman-body felt so beaten.
The weight of my breasts and womb crushed me.
I shrank Pitifully.

She then moves to talk about puberty and the changes that took place in her physically and later emotionally. She talks of the disappointment she faced in love when she asked for love and was violated. She talks of the pregnancy that followed it when the weight of her breasts and womb crushed her.

Then … I wore a shirt and my
Brother’s trousers, cut my hair short and ignored
My womanliness. Dress in sarees, be girl
Be wife, they said. Be embroiderer, be cook,
Be a quarreller with servants. Fit in. Oh,
Belong, cried the categorizers. Don’t sit
On walls or peep in through our lace-draped windows.
Be Amy, or be Kamala. Or, better
Still, be Madhavikutty. It is time to
Choose a name, a role. Don’t play pretending games.
Don’t play at schizophrenia or be a
Nympho. Don’t cry embarrassingly loud when
Jilted in love …

She then proceeds to tell the consequences of her physical violation at the age of 16. She started to crossdress by wearing a shirt and her brother’s trousers. She cut her hair short and ignored her womanliness which was a rebellion against her own sex. People then started to advise her to be a woman, dress in women clothing such as sarees, cook and be a wife. She was asked to quarrel with servants and fit in with the rest of the world. She was asked to fit in with the rest of the society and not bawl when left disappointment.

I met a man, loved him. Call
Him not by any name, he is every man
Who wants. a woman, just as I am every
Woman who seeks love. In him . . . the hungry haste
Of rivers, in me . . . the oceans’ tireless
Waiting. Who are you, I ask each and everyone,
The answer is, it is I. Anywhere and,
Everywhere, I see the one who calls himself I
In this world, he is tightly packed like the
Sword in its sheath. It is I who drink lonely
Drinks at twelve, midnight, in hotels of strange towns,
It is I who laugh, it is I who make love
And then, feel shame, it is I who lie dying
With a rattle in my throat. I am sinner,
I am saint. I am the beloved and the
Betrayed. I have no joys that are not yours, no
Aches which are not yours. I too call myself I.

She then proceeds to talk of a man she met and fell in love with. She then talks of how her lover was every man who sought a woman, “the hungry haste of rivers” just like she was every woman who seeks love. She talks of how her lover was impatient in love and she had all the patient in the world such as the “the oceans’ tireless waiting” She talks of the un-deluded freedom that a free woman or any soul for the matter could cherish, the various experiences that life has to offer.

Importance of cleanliness

Cleanliness is very necessary for all of us. It is a habit of keeping ourselves physically and mentally clean including our house, pet animals, surroundings, environment, schools, etc. We should keep ourselves neat and clean it all the time. It helps in making a good impression in the society as it reflects a clean character. We should maintain the cleaniness of the environment and natural resources water, food, land, etc. together with our body cleanliness in order to make the possibility of such as life existence forever on the earth. Wholesome neatness will lead to cheers of greatness. Cleanliness makes us healthy in every aspect like mental, physical, social, and intellectual. Generally, we all notice in our homes that our grandmothers and moms are very strict about the cleanliness before worship.

We should always take care of and observe our personal and surrounding cleanliness to make our future bright and healthy. We should not make our surroundings dirty as it results in the outbreak of several diseases. We should not keep our hands dirty when we do to eat something. We should never eat junk foods or stale foods and also avoid ready-made cool drinks. For our spiritual life, we have to keep our soul clean from all vices. To have a clean soul we need godliness within us. In the same way, to keep our body free from any dirt, we need cleanliness. Moreover, cleanliness not only improves but our personality also increases our image in society.

Reducing your carbon footprint

Carbon footprint is the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an individual, event, organization, service, or product, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent. Greenhouse gases, including the carbon-containing gases carbon dioxide and methane, can be emitted through the burning of fossil fuels, land clearance and the production and consumption of food, manufactured goods, materials, wood, roads, buildings, transportation and other services. Here are some ways to reduce your carbon footprint:

Photo by Ella Olsson on Pexels.com
  1. The choice of diet is a major influence on a person’s carbon footprint. Animal sources of protein like red meat, rice (typically produced in high methane-emitting paddies), foods transported long-distance or via fuel-inefficient transport (e.g., highly perishable produce flown long-distance) and heavily processed and packaged foods are among the major contributors to a high carbon diet. Scientists at the University of Chicago have estimated that the average American diet – which derives 28% of its calories from animal foods – is responsible for approximately one and a half more tonnes of greenhouse gasses.
  2. Another option for reducing the carbon footprint of humans is to use less air conditioning and heating in the home. By adding insulation to the walls and attic of one’s home, and installing weather stripping, or caulking around doors and windows one can lower their heating costs more than 25 percent. Similarly, one can very inexpensively upgrade the “insulation” (clothing) worn by residents of the home. For example, it’s estimated that wearing a base layer of long underwear with top and bottom, made from a lightweight, super-insulating fabric like microfleece, can conserve as much body heat as a full set of clothing, allowing a person to remain warm with the thermostat lowered by over 5 °C. These measures all help because they reduce the amount of energy needed to heat and cool the house.
  3. There are many simple changes that can be made to the everyday lifestyle of a person that would reduce their GHG footprint. Reducing energy consumption within a household can include lowering one’s dependence on air conditioning and heating, using CFL light bulbs, choosing ENERGY STAR appliances, recycling, using cold water to wash clothes, and avoiding a dryer. Another adjustment would be to use a motor vehicle that is fuel-efficient as well as reducing reliance on motor vehicles. Motor vehicles produce many GHGs, thus an adjustment to one’s usage will greatly affect a GHG footprint.
