BENEFITS OF BEING AN INTROVERT!

As an introvert, I’ve heard many myths and misconception about ourselves, so I’ve wanted to write something like this so that these myths can be cleared. Introverts are generally considered as boring, anti-social, less talkative and nerds. Well I won’t say that all of these are lies, in fact they are true to a certain extent. Off course we introverts don’t talk much but we are impossible to handle when we are with our buddies. Yes we read books and I personally don’t think reading a book should be considered only for nerds or introverts because I have seen highly extroverted people as dedicated readers. Extrovert gets their energy when they are around people and Introvert gets energy and stay charged when they spend time alone with themselves. They think about everything a little too much as compare to others and NO they aren’t unfriendly, in fact they are the most sweetest people you will ever meet. I’ve often felt guilty about wanting to stay alone rather than going out for a movie with my friends , but now I’ve accepted the fact that there isn’t anything to be guilty about. Personally I feel there are many perks of being an introvert which I would like to share with my readers :

Introverts are observant – It may look like they are sitting idle and unbothered by the happenings around them, but they observe every information. They are more likely to notice people’s body language and facial expressions which make then an excellent interpersonal communicator.

Introverts are good listener – Extroverts are likely to jump to conclusions without hearing the whole thing and it is because they process information interactively on the other hand Introverts process information internally. This helps them to hear and understand the information critically.

Introverts think before they speak – As introverts don’t usually like to talk much, they process all their thoughts and information before spitting them out, Their words have moore impact on others.

Quality>quantity – As introverts like being alone and to spend their time with themselves, they don’t make much friends but they chose to be friend with someone whom they can trust blindly . Their friend is generally small and great.

Compassionate leaders – Introverts are the best leaders. They don’t crave for coming into limelight and for taking all the credits as a leader, in fact they like to share their success with everyone. They are not impulsive and as a result take every decision only after analyzing it thoroughly.

WHY THE CONTENT OF INDIAN CARTOONS IS A BIG CONCERN !

It is obvious that our childhood affects our mind and mentality the most, the things we see and the thoughts we hear in our developing age changes our mindset the entire life. As most of the population of India lies between the age group of 1 to 25 yrs age group they should be guided in the right direction. Therefore cartoons affect the most of it because every child who has the availability to TV set surely watches cartoons.

The content of these cartoons plays an significant role, but unfortunately Indian cartoons stand nowhere in terms of there quality. Indian cartoons target the age group between 3 to 5 yrs, therefore making there cartoons oversimplified. It is oversimplified at a level where children don’t have to even think about it a little, the over simplicity of Indian cartoons can be seen from a e.g , there is a 8 year old boy who can beat anyone and that same boy can go to the Moon by just wearing a dhoti and a helmet. This level of disgusting content results in the low IQ and understanding capabilities of children. About this problem one can easily say that ‘you to only change that that show’, but with this answer a new problem arises and that is the lack of variety.

If you see deep through the Indian cartoon industry you will see the dirty monopoly of some writers, animators and production companies. They try to rule the whole industry by themselves and if someone else comes up with a unique idea and better content, he is just thrown out like a fly from the tea. You can take the e.g of Animax, a channel which brought some better content to Indian TV’s ,was thrown out and was shut down. And as a result of this monopoly every cartoon channel have fixed their own shows and run those same shitty shows for 24 hrs. Main thing is that these production companies don’t even try to improve the quality of their shows even after getting a huge profit. People are still watching these because they don’t know that their are some better options than these, this the reason these companies are still making huge profits and we are still getting those third class contents.

DO WOMEN REALLY GET EQUAL RIGHTS AT THE WORKPLACE?

Despite its growing economy, India is one of the countries having lowest female labour force participation in the wold. The rate of working women in our country is not something to be proud of. The reasons of this can be be many such as personal safety, security including fear of sexual harassment and oppressive social norms that restricts women’s mobility, do prevent women from seeking employment and confine her to primary caregiver roles. There are so many reasons which prevent women to work and even if they work, they don’t get equal opportunities and rights at their work place. It is said that women now or equal to men in every field but is really so? It’s unfortunate to say, but no it is not true at all. The working women needs to fight for their rights, to make their position equal and to gain respect . Women are generally discriminated mostly during work pay.Even if a man and a woman are at equal position, have equal responsibilities, still women gets much less salary than than the man.And these things are not only in service sectors but can also be found in sports and entertainment industries as well. Many celebrities from the entertainment industry have spoken on this topic and have clearly shown their anger over this issue.

According to a report, women only have three-quarters of the employment rights of men worldwide. The world bank’s women, business and the law index reveals only Belgium, Denmark, France, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Sweden and Canada are the nations which give equal rights to men and women. The report makes clear that giving equal employment rights and increasing female participation in labour markets has clear economic benefits. The World Economic Forum’s gender gap report fund that, although there has been some progress in some areas, it will be a century before the world over enjoy equal rights with men.Below I’ll be sharing 5 Women’s Employment rights which everybody should know about :

THE MATERNITY BENEFIT AMENDMENT ACT, 2017 – This act has now made it necessary for business to educate a female employee of her rights under the Act at the time of appointment. The female government employees are qualified for maternity leave for a time of 180 days for their initial two live conceived kids. The new act has additionally presented the choice of telecommuting/work from home for new moms.

THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE ACT, 2013 -Sexual harassment at work is not uncommon and we come across various cases dealing with harassment at the workplace. Apart from dealing with sexual harassment complaints, an employer has additional obligation in the nature of providing a safe working environment , treat sexual harassment as a misconduct and organizing workshops and awareness programmes at regular intervals for sensitizing employees on the issues and implications of sexual harassment at the workplace.

THE FACTORIES ACT, 1948 – The factories Act is a legislation to secure to the workers employed in a factory, health, safety, welfare, proper working hours and other benefits.State government from time to time issue notifications for amending provisions of the Factories Act, which would be application to workers in factories in that particular state.

WHY MARKETING IS IMPORTANT

“Good things will happen when you listen to the consumer” this is a quote which attracted me when I was reading an article related to marketing research. The sentence is very small and the meaning is quite simple until you try to decode the real meaning behind this plain sentence. If someone will ask me to define Marketing, I will simply conclude,”Marketing is the process of identifying and understanding your customer, and building relationship with them“. This is what the above mentioned quote states, that your business will bloom, your organization will make profit and your customers will be happy, only if you will try to identify and tackle the needs of consumer/customer.Marketing isn’t simply a part of business, it is the business. It is rightly said that customer is the king, it the customer who make the business. So if you want your business to grow positively, you must listen to the customer. Marketing is all about doing business as per the consumers’ needs. The organization needs to be flexible if it wants to succeed in the market . The need, demand, taste and preferences of the consumer keeps on changing and the organization must work with it.

In the current scenario, where there are hundreds of options available for a product or service, why will the consumer chose you over others? This will happen only if he/she is your loyal and satisfied customer and how did he/she become loyal? It is because their needs and preferences were taken into consideration by the company. If you wish to survive in this competitive world, you must do marketing to a large extent and should try to increase the head count of your product. Some of the few reasons about why marketing is so important are discussed below:

Helps in sales : Well it is quite simple, marketing help us sell our products and services. The main objective of any business is to earn profit and marketing help you to achieve that goal. There is no doubt that your product is the best, but if people don’t even know about your offerings then how will you generate sales?

Helps in growth of business: While your current customers should always be your main priority but marketing will help you add more people as customers in your business.Small social media posts and marketing campaigns can not only engage your existing customers but will also help you spread your business to new potential customers.

Marketing helps in informing: Marketing increases customers’ knowledge about your product. Sure you know the Ins and Outs of your product but do your consumers? In this situations marketing helps to make customers familiar with you products.

Marketing helps in building reputation: Reputation is a deciding factor that whether your customers will reach out to you or not.Strong and professional marketing indicates that you are a reputable business. It can help you establish credibility, build trust and engender goodwill towards your company.

are online classes really helpful?

Advancement of technology is bringing revolutionary changes in our daily lives, be it professional or personal. Everything which you want to do can be done through your phone just by a single click. You want to buy groceries it can be done online, you want to entertain yourself there are multiple options available on your phone, you can buy dresses from E-Commerce websites and you can even find your soulmate from the online dating websites. And in this time, where the whole world is locked inside their homes because of this deadly Corona virus, the role of technology gets bigger. So, when everything is going online, how can studies stay behind?

This whole concept of online education is not new for us, there were many talks and debates about the online education and in many fields this was done practically but after the due to corona outbreak the whole concept of Online Education is getting popular. You’ve definitely read news about schools and colleges adopting the online method to continue the studies but the actual question here is the online classes really fruitful or just a waste of time? As it is said, every coin has two sides ,i.e, if there is something bad, then something good is there too. We can not neglect the advantages of online education such as accessibility, one can learn at their own pace, flexibility, positive environmental impact, no need of commuting and many more, but on the other hand if we try to observe the disadvantages of the same then the list is more longer on this side. In this article we will look onto the concept of Online classes and their disadvantages. Basically online classes are those classes which are conducted over internet. This is a process where the students and the teachers are connected virtually and study on the same platform. The teacher can teach live or can upload pre recorded videos, that depends on the teacher. But the question here is can the students really learn through online lectures? Well, I don’t think so. I personally don’ t think that this concept is impactful . let me tell you all why I think so :

A : Face-to-face interactions- In this time where online classes are getting popular, the benefits of physical classes cannot be ignored. In physical classes, all the students participate physically and can have a real time discussion with the teacher and fellow classmates but online classes don’t give you this option. Although you can mail your queries to your teacher later on, but is sometimes hard to tell exactly where are you finding the difficulty or what you are trying to ask while in physical class you can ask your question by raising the hand.

B : Online classes take more time as compare to on-campus classes – You may find this absurd but this is true. The whole time which you will take to attend online classes, studying and completing online assignments will be much more than the time which you devote during your on-campus classes.

C : High chances of procrastination – In online classes there will be no one who will tell you to attend the class on time, no one will tell you to complete your projects and no one will tell you to study. There will not be anyone to preach you, beg you or to plead with you to stay on top of your syllabus. So if you are a procrastinator, online classes are definitely not your thing.

D : Internet connection – The most basic problem which one can face during online classes is the Connection issue. There is no way you won’t get troubles because of your internet. More than half of your class will be spent correcting the troubles and as a result the learning will be zero.

E : Good time management – Online courses require the self-discipline to set aside chunks of time to complete your studies. As with most of the things, if you don’t manage your time properly, you will find yourself buried beneath a seeming mountain of syllabus.

A brief look on covid-19 and the measures taken by government

Currently the whole world is suffering from this deadly virus called COVID-19 . A virus which has changed the entire living of humans and animals, a virus which took so many lives in such a short time and a virus which isn’t going to stop anytime soon. Today we’ll be looking on to some facts about this virus, we’ll be discussing the origin of COVID-19, the deaths and people affected from this virus, how contagious this virus can be, how is it being diagnosed and the measures taken by the Indian government so far to decrease the effect of this virus.

A novel strain of Corona Virus was first detected in December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in China’s Hubei province with a population of 11 million , after an outbreak of Pneumonia without an obvious cause. By far the virus has spread to over 200 countries and territories across the globe and was characterized as a pandemic by the World Health Organization on 11 March,2020. As of now, on 8th July 2020, there have been 11,620,096 confirmed cases of the virus in the world and and 538,058 of deaths. The Corona Virus belongs to a family of single-stranded RNA virus known as coronaviridae, a common type of virus which affects mammals, birds and reptile. The basic origin of this virus is unclear but in earlier study it was said to be originated in a food market in Wuhan and subsequently spread from animal to human. The Corona Virus is a contagious disease which is spreading from person to person all over the world. Now let us take on the diagnosis of this virus. As this virus affects the respiratory system, the common symptoms include cough, fever, breathing problems and sore throat. In some cases this virus can cause pneumonia too leading to kidney failure and death. A diagnostic test has been developed and countries are quarantining suspected cases. Now let’s take a look on the major steps which are taken by the government to eradicate this pandemic :

1 – The government introduced the Aarogya Setu mobile application to make aware the citizens about the virus.

2- Under its Ujjwala scheme, the government is providing free LPG refills for the next three months to over 8.3 crore poor women.

3 – The finance ministry announced that it will make an immediate release of Rs. 18,000 crore in tax refunds to individuals and businesses.

6 – A statement from Oil Ministry says that poor households using 5 Kg cooking gas cylinders will be entitled to eight months as a relief from the disruptions due to COVID-19 outbreak. The number of free refills will be limited to three for beneficiaries using 14.2 Kg cylinders.

7 – The government said it plans to set up a chain of 20 Lakh retail shops called “Suraksha Stores” across India which will be providing daily essentials to citizens.

the Perks of being a reader

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one“. I am sure all of us have heard this quote given by George R.R. Martin somewhere. As the title suggests that in this article we will be looking at the advantages of being a reader. Well if we look at the latest stats, it can be seen that the percentage of readers is now very less and is decreasing continuously. It is not quite shocking because we currently live in a time where being a reader is considered as old fashioned and boring by others(PS: This is not a stereotype but my own experience), but the habit of reading is one of the best habit which one can inculcate in themselves. The reading habit will help us in in numerous ways.

1- Lets’s start with the basic one which is knowledge, everything which you read fills our head with new bits of information and we never know when it might come in handy. The more you read, the more knowledgeable you will be.

2- The next thing which reading books helps in is reducing stress. Personally for me the biggest stress buster are books, no matter how much tired or stressed you are, you just need one good book and all your stress magically disappears.

3- Reading books not only keeps you engaged but also improve our vocabulary.Well the logic is quite simple, the more words you read, the more words you gain exposure to and they’ll inevitably make their way into your everyday vocabulory.

4-Memory improvement: When you read a book , you need to remember an assortment of characters, their background, the story plot and as well as the various arcs and sub plots. All these things eventually work as memory booster. isn’t this cool?

5- Improved concentration: A true reader can spend 6-7 hours straight reading a book. This is what concentration is and it can be get better with more and more books which you read .When you read, all of your attention is focused and the world just fall off.

6- High analytical thinking power: If you aren’t a reader, I suggest you to read a crime thriller novel. Believe me it will be a hell of an experience reading the book. These kind of genres will keep you engaged until you finish the book. These kind of books improve your thinking skills and you take note of all the details provided and sort them out to solve the mystery novel.

These were some of the skills which you possess when you read a book, and the list do not end here, the list can go on and on. This is the impact of books on our minds and in our daily life. So, if you are not a reader yet, what are you waiting for, just grab a book, be it comical, romantic, thriller or anything, the main purpose here is to tell you the importance of books in our daily life and to keep you entertained.

condition of lgbt community in india

The first question from where we will start this article is that what is this LGBT community? who are the people which are a part of this community? So, the LGBT community is the combined group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and LGBT organizations. we all are totally familiar with the present condition of these people in our society. The environment and the conditions in which they live are horrible and there is an urgent need to get this thing in light.

Although there is a special law passed for their rights, which is Section 377 of Indian Penal Code but the condition is still the same. The Section 377 of the IPC is an act that criminalizes homosexuality and and was introduced in the year 1861 during the British rule of India. According to this act, whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal, shall be punished for imprisonment for life. However the supreme court of India on September 6, 2018, decriminalized the Section 377 of IPC and allowed gay sex among consenting adults in private. The supreme court even said that consensual adult gay sex is not a crime saying sexual orientation is natural and people do not have any control over it. It’s been almost 2 years now since the Act was passed ,but it is quite unfortunate that the condition of the LGBT community is only getting worse. The actual question is what caused such situation that now we need to operate awareness programs to protect the rights of their community. The main problem starts in the childhood itself, where a boy is bullied by his so called ” masculine” classmates just because for being effeminate and a girl is asked questions for seeing a girl such as,” But why a girl?It is not like you are deprived or something”. This is the country where a boy is being mocked because he is not “manly” enough. The whole concept of masculinity is getting altered drastically and it will be not wrong if it is said as “Toxic Masculinity” . So, according to some, masculinity means keeping a very great beard, doing drugs and maintaining a very athletic body and if you don’t have any of them you will called as “chakka”, “meetha” and much more. The words “gay” is used to insult and mock others. These kind of people never actually try to think about how the people may get affected by all this. Let me take an example, as we all know that KPOP is something which is getting really popular all around the world, but did any of us give it a thought that why the KPOP male idols are mocked by some people? Well the answer is quite simple, because these idols do not fit in their criterion of masculinity, according to them these idols are not manly enough.Well this whole mindset about the LGBT community is not much different in the rest of the world, the condition is same everywhere

Lastly, to some up this article I would say, we as a country have made a progress worth appreciating but the struggle is long enough and there are many changes and revolution which are needed in this way. The least which we can do to protect the rights of the community from our side is by not treating the LGBT community as different, because they are not different from us, by changing the whole wrong concept of masculinity and by giving then respect which they deserve like everyone else.
