Is the exam is necessary?

Exams are held to analyze the knowledge of the students. Many of the students have the wrong belief that the examinations are not necessary and so many of them get irritated by hearing the word “Exam” because their mentality about exams is very poor. Examinations were helped to explore our capacity and skills. Only through the exams, we can evaluate ourselves and it also helps to give our best. It makes students into a hard-working personality. It is an examination and helps to improve our confidence level. Every student prepares themselves as they participate in the competition and many of the price themselves better than others. By this, examinations pay the way for the healthy competition. It creates a new healthy spirit in order to achieve a goal in their life.

Though exams creativity, discipline, confidence, decisionmaking were raised. Exams help to develops our logical thinking and learning. Basically, the exam is the self-analyzation because of the analysis of the student’s understanding and knowledge. It is the process of finding how much we know and learn in the study. The students have to be serious about their exams because it takes them to achieve their goals. This makes them able to overcome their weakness in order to be successful in life. It judges us how much we have understood and capable. WithoutExams, students will not concentrate on their studies. Therefore, Exams should be compulsory.

Science for life

The lifestyle of the modern man is vastly different from that of the ancient man. Modern man is ensconced in the lap of luxury and comfort. Thanks to the influence of science and technology, modern man could enjoy every moment of his life. When compared to modern man, ancient man was not lucky enough. He was not accustomed to SMS, cyber cafes, fast food. Science has given every one to modern man. Blessed are the women of today because they never face any household problems today. The home appliances have alleviated the burden of modern women in their household chores. Every invention augments the power of man and the well-being of mankind. The invention of electricity has been performing wonders and a real pioneer to several inventions and discoveries. The invention of several new medicines, medical equipment, and surgical instruments have elongated the life span of people. Several diseases, which were considered as epidemics in those days, are nipped in the bud today. X-rays, LASER, ECG, EEG, and Angiogram are the real saviors of mankind. The advent of computers and the internet has brought the whole world to our drawing-room. Mobile phones and iPhones have revolutionized the art of communication. Launching rockets and the installation of satellites into the orbit have done a world of good to mankind. New and effective scientific methods are adopted in the field of agriculture also. This significant development in technology has enriched the fields like education, agriculture, defense, medicine, meteorology, space research, and so on.

At the same time, science has metamorphosed man into a machine. As a result of the influence of science, human values are gradually vanishing. For instance, people, in the thick of watching TV, forget all other things. Children are almost slaves to the computer and mobile games. Thus, their natural growth and personality development are curbed. Depending too much upon machines makes people inactive, unimaginative, and scarcely creative. Worse than all these things is the threat posed by scientific weapons. No one can forget the atomization on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. No one can shrug off the Bhopal Tragedy and the Chernobyl Tragedy as a mere accident. These are the outcome of man’s exploitation of science. Though science has given everything to mankind, it is gradually depriving man of certain values like love for fellow people, diligence, awareness about the environment, and so on. If all scientists of the world take a vow to use science only for a constructive purpose if the people of the world decide not to depend too much on scientific equipment if science contributes only to the conservation of the earth, sciences really a boon to the world.

Today’s need TO preserve the environment

Pollution is one of the evils brought about by the growth of science and technology. The undesirable change in the properties of nature is called pollution. It harms the health and life of humans. The man is responsible for pollution by adding impurities into the air, water, and soil. By polluting air, we polluting our breath. Our health depends on the quality of the air we breathe. Factories and industries let out the smoke. Toxic gases found in the smoke that pollutes the air. The intake of polluted air causes diseases like lung cancer, asthma, and nervous disorders. Due to pollution, the ozone layer gets depleted. It results in an entry of harmful ultraviolet radiation into the earth causing diseases like skin cancer. water gets polluted when toxic and acidic wastes are disposed of into it. This will certainly contaminate water. These will cause diseases such as jaundice, typhoid, cholera, dysentery etc. Unpleasant and loud sounds which make discomfort is called Noise pollution. It will cause psychological tension, nervousness. Land pollution is caused by the accumulation of non-degradable pollutants such as plastics, polythene bags etc. And lead to lost its fertility.

The first and foremost step is to create awareness about the harmful effects of pollution. Factories should adopt strict pollution control measures. The use of non-conventional energy sources such as solar energy and wind energy should be encouraged. Bio-fertilizers must be used in agriculture. Deforestation should totally be stopped. Green plants are to be cultivated around the industries. This will ensure not only the reduction of noise pollution but also render fresh air. Unless some measures are taken to control pollution at its source, the pollutants will certainly pose a hazard to human health or threaten the efficiency of agricultural production. Pollution-free society will be the best legacy that we can hand down to posterity.

Aftermath of atomisation on Hiroshima

The world war is considered more destructive than any other war fought so far. It is because of the dropping of the atom bomb by the Allies Force on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The invention of the atomic bomb led to the destruction of the world. The war in Europe had drawn to its end. Yet, the war in the East went on savagely. The scientists of the Allies forces were working furiously to unleash the power lying imprisoned in the atom, not for peace, but to force the Empire of Japan to surrender. With the special variety of uranium designated U235, the scientists finally achieved the chain reaction which would proliferate explosion as cancer multiplies its diseased cells. The atomic bomb which was the product of many minds forced the Empire of Japan to surrender. The statesmen and the politicians were confronted with a tragic and agonizing dilemma of whether to drop the atom bomb or not. Ultimately that decision was taken by the three men: President Truman of the USA, Prime Minister Attlee of. Britain and Marshal Chiang Kai-shel of China.

Hiroshima was just settling to another day. Meanwhile, the bombs were dropped on Hiroshima at a speed of 32 feet per second. As soon as the bombs exploded, the sun was eclipsed by a blinding light. As a result of the atomization, thousands of people were killed. Those, who survived were stricken by mutilation and scalded flesh. Ten thousand casualties went to a single hospital. There were about twenty men behind a bush. Their faces were wholly burned. Their eyes sockets were hollow and the fluid from their eyes had run down their cheeks. Nearly two lakh people were death, mutilation, and irreparable loss. The victim was permanently sterilized, due to radiation. The pregnant women aborted and never conceived again. Others were reduced by wasting diseases. But a measure of guilt still remains as painful memories of Hiroshima and Nagasaki have left an indelible mark.

Even between India and Pakistan, cricket is considered as a unifying factor as it contributes to a peaceful atmosphere between these two rival nations. The term “sportsman spirit” refers to the level-headedness of treating triumph and defeat equally. Instances like athletes involving in dope candles, the win at any cost attitude, and sliding the opponent players lead to the waning of sportsman spirit. The essence of sports and games is to nurture certain noble qualities that will help us to overcome culture, political, social, and racial obstacles. Role of women in modern India

Our Indian sub-continent is gradually emerging to be a powerful and, drawing the attention of almost all the countries across the world. The day of India becoming a superpower may not be far away. Here the role of women becomes highly significant because only in the 20th and 21st century, Indian women and modern India have done a lot of mutual benefits to each other. Though the epics and Puranas glorified and regarded women in high esteem, the practical status of women both in the ancient society and in modern society seems to be the same worrisome and troublesome plight. Denial of education, denial of property, denial of worldly life for the widow have been the severe injustice being imposed upon women for ages. They have been denied equal status because of illiteracy. Gone are the days when women were denied the benefits of education. Education is a powerful weapon of liberation. Today they have achieved glory in almost all the fields where men have won laurels. Empowerment and Reservation for women alone can change the scenario.

Nowadays, we find women occupying many high positions in the government and private establishments. They operating machines, fly aircraft and even manage big industries. Their performance in sports and games are also amazing. The woman is not only a home-maker but also a ruler of the nation as Indra Gandhi did. Some of the notable and outstanding women who ser examples for others are Mother Teresa, Sarojini Naidu, Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy, Kalpana Chawla, Sunitha Williams, and so on. There is a lot that women should contribute to the nation. They should get employed in high administrative positions both in the public and private sectors. Economical independence is the ultimate solution for the liberation of women from unreasonable age-old bindings and chains. Education is the only solution for anything and everything. The development of our country depends on the empowerment of women. As women are born-creators, their role in the re-construction of the nation would certainly be amazing and thrilling.

Child LABour

Children are always compared to flowers and butterflies because of their common virtues like innocence, freshness, and tension-free lifestyle. They are the future pillars of the Nation. However, across the world, millions of children are forced to do extremely hazardous work in harmful conditions. Child labor is the employment of children as wage earners. We should take the necessary steps to eradicate the evil. The International Labour Organization estimated that there were 218 million working children aged between 5 and 17 in 2016. Asia alone had 61% of child laborers. Most children work because their families are poor and the amount earned by them is necessary for survival. Compared to adults, they are cheaper to hire and are less likely to demand higher wages or better working conditions. Illiteracy is also a major cause of child labor problems.

Children are put into the mechanical way of life. Many of them in hazardous jobs are in danger of injury. They are affected physically as well as mentally because of their full-time work at a very early age, excessive working hours, and no access to education. They fail to enjoy the real happiness of nature. As the child laborers are away from the care of the parents, they long for love and affection. Instead of carrying school bags and playing with toys, they are forced to pick sacks and collect wastes. Child labour can be eliminated, by improving school facilities, improving the literary rate, and strengthening the legal system of the country. In all the civilized societies all over the world, ‘child labour’ is condemned as a social evil. Several social service organizations also join hands with the government to take steps to eradicate child labour. The public also helps in reducing child labour by supporting organizations that are creating awareness and providing direct help to individual children.

Population Explosion

The enormous increase in the population is called population explosion. Population explosion is one of the major problems that all developing countries face. According to a report by the United Nations Population Fund, the total number of population is likely to reach 10 billion by 2025. Though India ranks second in population, it has the highest density of population in the world. India’s population is growing at an alarming rate. India alone has a population of more than one billion, inspite of the fact that India was the first country in the world to have a population policy. There are several factors that contribute to high population. In the past, short life span of people limited population growth. But today’s world, the rate of death has decreased to an extent that it creates a rapid increase in the population in many countries. This was achieved by improved nutrition, sanitation, and medical care. This results in excess population.

Over population creates many problems like lack of adequate food, adequate drinking water, shelter, education, and employment. It also leads to depletion of natural resources, increased level of pollution, deforestation and loss of ecosystem. It allows poverty to persist. Some fear that overcome that overpopulation will bring the extinction of the human race. More public education is needed to develop awareness about population growth. Population education should be a subject for study in schools and colleges to develop an awareness of the population problems. Action plans and strategies can be developed to increase the public understanding of how rapid population growth limits our basic needs. World poverty can be reduced only if the population growth is brought under control. Take care of the world that takes care of you.

” If unchecked, population would grow in geometric progression while food production could only grow in arithmetic progression “- Thomas Malthus

Values of books

A good book is the purest essence of the human soul. Reading books makes our time usefully spent, makes our lives beautifully shaped, and makes our knowledge amazingly rich. Reading one good book will change one’s life altogether different and impressive. Lack of Reading books results in dwarfism in one’s social status and deformity in one’s character. They always help us with valuable information, everlasting joy, and enriched thoughts. Books are always valuable as they give more benefits than anything else in the world. As is the food for the body so is the book for the mind.

There are lots of good books that should have already read or at least began to read. Good books are equal to great teachers. We should always be careful and wise about choosing the book for reading. While buying a book we should be concerned only about its quality, not about its Price. There are several books are available for people as per their age group. Comics and moral books for children, Thriller and Romantic stories for the young readers and family stories and detective stories and books on political, travelogues and biographies of successful persons are available for middle-aged people. Reading books. Is not a good habit but also a great hobby. When we start reading a good book, several bad thoughts are swept out of existence.
